Eh, depends on your grasp of the word “most.” You don’t play with Jack Yates with 3 or 4 guys and not get your doors blown off. Fact is, he did a very, very good job in his first year as a head coach. Going to be a really good one for years to come and I couldn’t be less surprised.

Robertson did very well. But that really has nothing to do with Daspit's abilities to coach. IMO, last year's style of play and coaching is different than how this year was played and coached. Different styles and philosophies. I just don't see any reason to discredit one to enhance the other. Completely unnecessary and kind of irrelevant to this game thread. I have to agree, BC plays Yates last year, it's likely a 20 point win for Yates and not a 1 point win.

I’m still wondering how Robertson built this team with only 3 returning Varsity players. Mungy never stepped on the court or put a jersey on last year so how could that count? BC doesn’t even play the same game as when he was there. There's actually chemistry now in the program. Not putting down Robertson, but this is not the same team by a long shot! This team and last year’s team is night and day different. The bitterness and jealousy of his family to get on here and not give Daspit credit for this season is astounding. I mean, why even comment at all? Daspit didn’t cause Robertson to lose his job! Last year’s team would have lost by 60 to the Yates team that BC played last night! This game is posted on YouTube. Why is it important to you personally to discredit what Daspit has done in his first year?

It's going to hurt. We really need our big freshman to have a good off season and be ready to start next year. He needs to hit the weight room and get stronger and faster. We've got another kid with decent size on JV. Hopefully he can fill in for Boulwen. We should have good shooters (not that it mattered tonight) in Jones, Cardinalli, and Arline, plus maybe one or two more. The real fun should start when next year's 8th graders make it to high school. So long as they all stay together and continue to develop, we'll be set up really nice.

First time Onalaska has ever beat Central in varsity boys basketball. Lots of firsts for this team.

Like was said beforehand pretty even everywhere except at the free throw line. Great game. Felt like Wheatley made a few more of those wild/tough shots although we made a couple. Also felt like even though the turnover number was even that we made a more of the careless or unforced variety. Such as starting the game off early with 3 or 4 stops and making careless passes to give the ball right back.

Some HF fans complained about the officiating. I thought they called a pretty good game. One rough call with about 10 seconds left that I didn’t think was traveling when HF had a chance to tie hurt, but other than that HF (deservedly) got the advantage on fouls for the majority of the game. I think if the horns had pulled it out some of the BC fans would’ve found some calls to be upset about as well. This was a 1-point game inside :30, and only finished at 4 because BC iced it from the line. The horns were ice cold all night from deep and bad at the line. Can’t really blame the zebras for that. Full credit to BC: they shot pretty well from deep and took advantage of their free throws when they got them, and their defense forced a lot of turnovers.

8th grade is solid, JV has one or two kids we might can get something out of. Cartwright will be a senior next year. Starting line up should be: Jones Cardinalli Chaison Johnson Arline All my very early opinion, of course.

The SEC this year is the deepest hoops conference I can ever remember. They are way stronger in basketball than they’ve been in football, even in their own minds. In fact, of the big 3 sports, amazing to think football is easily the weakest right now.

Incredible athlete. I was shell shocked watching that game. We were top ranked in the state and lost by 20 in the second round.
