I think Manvels decline began when Shadow Creek opened.

Kirk Martin came back so now Manvel has the same coach they had those years when they were great but their enrollment area is only about 1/5 of what it used to be. Most of the great athletes were coming from the Shadow Creek Ranch subdivision while it was being built which now has its own high school. The explosive growth has always been down HWY 288 and now Manvel just lost the fastest growing part of its attendance zone to Iowa Colony High School. Manvel’s offense looked pretty bad last night but just three years ago Carson White who’s IC’s sophomore QB would’ve lived in Manvel’s attendance zone and along with a few of their other prospects made that a completely different game. One of the downsides of coaching in a growing district like that is potentially getting a smaller piece of the pie which Manvel is feeling now.

He may have a statue at CP, but the Broncos have probably had this one circled since the schedule was put out. He'd better have his kids prepared tonight. The 'good coaches" will likely have Dayton ready, as well. We'll find out a lot tonight, one way or the other.

Fort Bend Marshall 27 Friendswood 23. A fake Punt turned it around for Marshall in the third Quarter( I Think third Quarter.)Johnson was erratic throwing the ball the 1st half but was on all cylinders the 2nd half. Friendswood had a good game plan to run the ball but it seemed the offensive line tired in the second half.Friendswood ran a quick play attack and caught Fort Bend off Guard. Johnson is a HuGE QB and has some nifty small receivers ( Ferguson ) was one.On a bad note Fort bend lost a receiver who was take by ambulance. Friendswood lost their QB ( Butler ) around the start of the 4th quarter.Had a terrible limp, don't know extent of injury.Friendswood always seem to come to play hard.Marshall 's speed and Johnson arm was too much

No where am I defending, and Hunters laptop, I am not worried about rhetoric. I just find it amusing that saying Harris can go to hell is so worrisome. Nobody has been so publicly berated as Trump. He is a big boy, rhetoric doesn't bother him. Hell, the left has tried to bankrupt him with frivolous lawsuits, trying to send him to prison with insane allegations, and even tried killing him. So, some name calling is kinda par for the course.

I think this is an interesting game for SOC to finally get out of their DFW comfort zone. I think this one will end up with a similar score to their games with Duncanville. I have North Shore as about a 30 point favorite at home but all I need is a 24 point lead at any point in time to collect my 750ml from my buddy tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing Khaleb Bailey versus Keelon Russell in the state championship game. Duncanville lost some absolute beast off that team from last year. If North Shore is healthy they should be in good position to win round 6.

I read an article last year about a kid in Alabama that literally played one team on Friday, then a different team the following Friday without even moving. If that's where we're headed, it won't be good.

I agree to a point. Not so sure HF is better defensively this year. Lost a lot on that side of the ball. All three LB's, 2 DB's and a DL. All were very significant on that side of the ball. Particularly two of the LB's. HF offense will be their strength. Lot's of weapons and a good offensive line. Still my pick to win district. As for this game, I got HF by 14
