Coach Whitmire informed me of that last night before the game. I told him he had to make amends for that only loss. Otherwise his team was bringing down the program. I believe he did just that.

Just an FYI Orangefield won district at every sub-varsity level. And 7th grade through Varsity, they’ve lost one game. That’s right one (the first varsity game with Kountze obviously). The future is very bright for Bobcat basketball I would say. (Thanks to Mr. Todd Shores for that info.)

Guys, it wont let me "like" anymore posts tonight but I really appreciate the kind words about our son! He is special and I love the big games because it gives him the opportunity to put that on display! I have always told him, "cream rises to the top" and he always has, so it is what it is! Great talent on both sides of the ball and great coaching as well, but we knew what we had, and knew what our boys are capable of. They are brothers and we are all family! If you are going to go into battle, make it be with folks you love! To all the haters, humble pie is best served cold and that is exactly what happened tonight! We dont run it up on folks because that isnt who we are. We play the game the right way with respect for our opponents. Not saying Kountze doesnt respect their opponents, but we dont care what our average points per game is or even average margin of victory. We care about the win loss column, but want our boys to understand compassion and empathy for their opponents. Coach Whitmire and his staff are teaching more than basketball! Ghost put on an MVP performance in tonights game as well as Game 1, but what Im most proud of is how when is brother Mason Donald form Kountze went down he asked our trainer to go to his locker and get his pickle juice, he ran that over to Kountze's bench during the timeout! Proud of my dawg for loving his brother and knowing some things are bigger than basketball. So proud of all of these young men, Orangefield and Kountze! Seeding Game Im sure will be another barn fire! I'D LOVE TO PLAY THAT ONE IN WOS'S NEW ARENA AND SHOW SOME LOVE TO THEM!

Fall is 100% healthy or she wouldn’t be playing. She struck out 16 vs Barbers Hill, but did have a few more walks than usual. She had 11 K’s in 4 innings of work last night. The biggest question is if BC will give her run support. If they can out 3-4 runs they will be hard to beat. LCM is solid and it should be a good matchup.

I think the end is near for Biden. He has been pandered and pampered long enough for those in charge of the Democratic Party and served his usefulness. I think it is getting to the point where the leadership doesn’t want this to continue much longer. I am not thinking about any resignation by Biden (and putting Word Salad in charge) but rather giving up his delegates to another candidate for the election. It has certainly been mentioned before in these forums but I think the time is growing short. I think the longer Biden stays in, the better Trump looks. Naming a replacement soon might change the game but if they wait until too deep of a hole has been dug, it might be too late. That’s why I think they may be pulling the plug on him soon. I think the grumbling by the Democratic operatives will be too strong in the next few weeks.

I would have tagged you if I was talking about you or said it to you last night in person. You taking Kountze at -8 isn't offensive in anyway. I like the lines you put out and they are usually pretty close. I thought I was pretty clear about haters and negativity being who I was speaking to.

I haven’t read where any posts were directed negatively towards the kids or coaches. AAW or myself would have deleted those post(s) immediately. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe Ch Chu was making references to the fans on this board who were predicting a Kountze win and some predicting a large margin. Since I haven’t lived in the area in over ten years, this was the first time I’ve been in the OF gym to watch the boys play in probably a good 10+ years. The game was awesome! Both teams played really well and with great sportsmanship. I hope I can be at next one between the two.

Just because the kids are better at basketball, doesn’t mean it’s not still a poor district. And for me, it’s more the kind of music than the sound system anyway. And if that didn’t make me sound old enough, it IS too loud for me, even if it was music I actually enjoy. But that’s just the way it is most places now days I suppose. On the up side, come to Lamar games. They’re still rocking YMCA and Cotton Eyed Joe 😂🤣

Huntington beat PCA tonight so they will be 1 seed and PCA 2 seed. Huntington will get Buna and PCA gets EC. Both games I believe are Tuesday in Lumberton starting at 6:00.

That's a mystery, but the reason may have been because he couldn't beat Nederland. I recall the local news articles back in the 60s and 70s, when Watson was PNG HC, read "always the bridesmaid, never the bride". Speaking of which, the next MCM should be interesting.
