Silsbee beat the #3 and #4 seed (Jasper and Lumberton) by an average of 35 points a game. Liberty tied for 3rd in their district. I think the line at 36 is fair. But I could see it being 40 before game time.

Palestine got tons of easy buckets just chunking it down the court and laying it up... especially early. SIlsbee took alot of mid range jumpshots and couldnt hit alot of them, which compounded the easy buckets at the other end. They also had alot of turnovers on long crosscourt passes that turned into layups. Was a good night for Palestine and a bad night for silsbee... Their guard size seemed to give Silsbee problems as well. Palestine has played ultiple stretches this year without their best 2 at different times. They should have won their district easily... in my opinion

I agree. Most (all?) of the teams successful with the Slot T have a decent passing attack, like teams who use the Spread have a decent run game.

While I agree Pete is the man. Every Batman needs a Robin. Ghost is a lethal shooter and very cerebral player for just a freshman. If they can figure out how to work as a duo this team could do some damage.

If Mr.Ragusa can remain “calm” & continue to lead his team like I know he can then Orangefield will make a deep run. He’s a cerebral player that understands the flow of the game can’t wait to see him go far !!!!!!!
