All those butt whippings before district really payed off. Not a fan of seeing us lose by 50 points while half our team is playing football, but you can't argue with the end results. This Yates defense was nothing compared to United.

See all that whining and crying from the fans was for nothing. The Silsbee players took care of business.

In all honesty, I (and some others) like to give you a hard time sometimes but thank you for your contributions to this board. It is always more fun when both sides are represented. Like Drew said, Fredericksburg is very good this year. They’re 26-1 and their only loss was to a 5A school that ended the season at 21-4. Canyon is always good, and are 26-1. They just beat 25-0 Levelland by 25 in the playoffs. Brownsboro is 26-1 and accounts for one of Fairfield’s two losses. I haven’t seen any of these teams play personally, but I would think any of them are capable of beating HJ. Fortunately HJ will only have to face two of them at most the rest of the way out.

Would have been really cool. Lumberton v Huffman Silsbee v Bridge City two school’s known for having success in basketball (obviously Silsbee much greater than Huffman) and two surging programs in BC and Lumberton.
