Congrats to the Raiders! What a job Coach Mitchell has done with that program since taking over. Love to see good things happen to good people - and Josh is as good a guy as they come. And regardless of covid, injuries, etc, those boys worked their tails off and accomplished a major goal. Hats off to Lumberton.

Silsbee has a team full of freshman and sophomores. Maybe 2 seniors. They had to play 2 games without varsity members due to COVID-19 and lost as they had to run their freshman team out there. They will be fine. Lumberton has a kid who is a solid D1 basketball player. No shame in losing to them. Silsbee will be fine.

Thanks man, I’ve been pretty involved on here the last 3 years with my son on varsity football and basketball but he’s a Senior so hopefully someone else takes the reigns as the SETXsports updater for the Vidor next season. The Pirates aren’t very good at times but they certainly keep things interesting. Going to miss it but life moves on, to college on academics for this one we hope. 🤞

Ha. I don’t know anything about this years Vidor basketball team. Have zero ties to the school. I’m positive I’ve never spent more than 5 minutes of my life inside the city limits of Vidor. But the way this guy updates the games and describes the action keeps me coming back each week to see how the Vidor Pirates did.

They were rolling before Covid-19 I understand my point is they are just getting back after Covid-19 no excuses lumberton out played Silsbee and deserved to win and when I say wake up call that means Silsbee needs to get it together fast they just set themselves up with a Jack Yates date probably in the 2nd round.

Lol no. I’m 29 as of yesterday. But being a Lumberton Raider all my life to see these boys play all season and fixing to clinch at least a share of district title tonight does make me happy.

Now they sort it out after the break, Vidor seriously hampered for the second half. Only 7 players available, starting PG ejected for a double tech I assume, starting Center and wing ejected for coming off the bench. LCM big comes out to the bench after the half but is ejected and has to make the walk of shame back to the locker room. Much to the delight of the Vidor crowd.

Watching on Texanlive and Lunberton looks like a better team to me.

Fight broke out the biggest guy on LCM and the littlest guy on Vidor came to blows. It was interesting to say the least... both teams got involved but nothing escalated past those two.

There are plenty of constitutional scholars saying the exact opposite... just like any issue. I think it's kinda funny because the same people who were yelling that Pence had the right to thrown out any electoral votes he didn't like and saying "where does it say that he can't" are now arguing that the impeachment trial can't be held when there's no clear admonition that it can't. For the record, I think that it shouldn't but my opinion doesn't matter.

I don’t think big Ned will be a problem. These sophomores who will be juniors next year will be filling all the gaps. They have been beating the nederlanders since 7th grade. As freshman it was very ugly defeat.
