After i would’ve saw them in that zone I would’ve held the ball up 2-0 . But of course fans wouldn’t understand that strategy and would’ve started yelling play ball .

Green deserves a little more than minimal blame. He should have seen that slow start and nipped that in the bud right then. Is like none one had a sense of urgency until it was to late. But it’s only so much a coach can do, the kids shouldn’t have even been like that in the first place with a do or die game. SC also came out with a hell of a game plan, doing the same thing the team last year did In the playoffs when we lost, make us shooters.

More embarrassed than bitter. My school district hasn't always been the best athletically, but it's always been a good school district that did things right and we always put academics first. There has always been talent at HF, but we've missed on coaching hires basically since Jeff Keener. This latest hire is a miss too. Those transfers haven't always lived in HF and the new ones won't either and everyone knows it. I'd rather lose with our kids and coaches who do it right than openly break the rules and then brag about how great they are. Nobody is buying it. I'm old enough to know that winning isn't everything. It's not bravery to point out something is wrong. For what it's worth I've made my opinion known to the principal, AD, and superintendent at HF so I'm not hiding behind an anonymous message board.

Them self-turnovers didn't help either. Folks can blame Green in which some of it is understandable at a minimum IMO, but ultimately it was on those kids that were on that hardwood tonight, someone mentioned it on one of these pages that they turned it on too late.

Congratulations to Silsbee! You Tiger fans are awful spoiled to be nitpicking a team that is going to the regional tournament...again. Especially when you lost all those players the last several years. Great job Coach Sigler and staff, great job Braylon Bush, and great job to the role players who stepped up.

Yates MUST cut down on their turnovers, they committed approximately 25 against LaMargue if they expect to advance to the Regional Finals. Yates MUST continue to force turnovers, apply pressure with the press and hit their outside shots. Yates is going into this game Friday against China Spring with 2 Goals: 1. Win the game 2. Continue their 100 point consecutive scoring record. I believe the 100 point streak will continue this weekend in Huntsville. I have to wait to see who we will face in San Antonio before I predict if the streak will continue. The teams Yates will face in San Antonio will be the toughest games we will have played sense the Thanksgiving Hoopfest Massacre (Lost by 37 & 52). Yates will be participating in their 9th Consecutive Regional Tournament Appearance.

I agree with this 100%. Silsbee took an absolute great player and a very good one and rode them into the regional tournament this season. You gotta tip your cap to that. I felt like last years club underperformed and this years overperformed. The region is definitely down this year.

So what you are saying is that you don't like the coach and the new students at HF? 🤔 You honestly think schools who hire good coaches don't attract talent and retain the talent they have? The problem is really that you don't like Coach Rideaux and that's evident, but the hundreds of folks that crowded the gym and thousand that followed them in their two playoff games think otherwise 🤷‍♂️. HF is an open enrollment campus and can accept kids from outside the district just like HJ can. They have their stipulations and grade requirements for these students that apparently are being followed. I know for sure that many of the new faces actually live in the district and was actually attending other schools outside of it. With the hiring of Coach Rideaux, they simply transferred to the school they are zoned for. Are you making the accusation that these kids aren't smart and are in some way bypassing HF standards because of sports? 🤔 I know for sure one kid that is looking to transfer there next year is National Honor society and will graduate top of his class sooooo.....

Silsbee is always the one that comes to mind for me. On a smaller school level, Evadale does well also.

Bush finished with 32 but that was probably the worst game I have seen him play this season. Missed several layups, was 1 of 9 from three, had several turnovers and didn't play very well on the defensive end. With the opportunities that Washington gave Silsbee tonight, Tigers should have had another 100 point night. Washington's last lead was 7-6. Silsbee led by as much as 13. Silsbee was fortunate to win this one.

Not really. We slipped to 14 as district began and then we slid down into the abyss of non-ranked status with the close game to Lumberton and the two loses. I think the performance against Brazosport was kind of like a No. 14. The performance tonight was more like the abyss.

Silsbee won't be playing Connolly. Looks like Life Waxahachie won that game.
