I can see it now. West Brook wins state championship but some will come on here complaining they didn't win by a large enough margin and the QB didn't throw for 400 yards and 5 TD's.

You deserve what you demand. This is advice for lots of teams. Good coaches, good parents, dedicated athletes and community support. If you lack in any of those elements, you stand to lose strength. If the good folks of (insert town name) want better, they have to produce better.

Nederland using Kade Scott as their main running back like last year & giving him 20+ touches a game will increase chances of beating any team left in district. He does a good job blocking at fullback but his overall talents are being wasted.

Lumberton is that guy that always shows up at the drag strip with a primered Olds Cutlass and never beats anybody.

It will be good flying under the radar. Plus it lets our girls know that nothing will be given to them, they have to go out there and earn and prove it...

We will have our hands full with the QB and we better wrap up. If we don’t, we might be starting to air up the basketballs. I keep thinking I’m going to go to a game where it all clicks for what I still say is a talented roster, but it just hasn’t happened. Too many mental mistakes, penalties, missed assignments, and missed tackles thus far.

You don’t think that the WH players won’t be pumped up to beat the crap out of their former coach? This game will be played at an emotional high. Too much talent and experience on WH side to give Colmesneil a win. I believe WH takes this one by as much as they want.

You should come out to the game and watch those so called slow WH players march up and down the field at will.

Very good break down. Perfect world for Astros would be they win tomorrow, Verlander closes it out in New York Friday, Cole gets game 1 start in WS and Verlander gets game 2 start on full rest.

I think all stadiums, old or new, should be required to have elevators to press boxes that have more than 20 rows. Abe Martin has over 40!! Press box is not the best either. That school deserves better.

I can take jabs and give it back as the others I've mentioned can as well. Respect? Some I give and some I don't, but ohh well. This is a football forum. Lumberton with the W here. Coming off a loss to a good Huffman team, I can see them running wild on the Lions to get back on track in district play.

PNG is coming off of their first playoff appearance in school history finishing with a 23-13 record. They graduated 6 seniors, which two had serious injuries throughout the year at the post position. We have a 4 year starting returner who has been teams leading scorer the last two years and has been 1st team all District the last two years, we have a three year returning starter who has been the second leading scorer the last two years. We have two more seniors that came off the bench last year and a Junior who has been on Varsity since her Freshman year coming off the bench. We also have a strong nucleus of 4 Seniors moving up from a JV team who only lost 3 District games (BH x2 and Dayton). We also have an incoming Freshman who could possibly get moved up and I think make a difference. PNG should be quick and physical this year. I’m predicting a second playoff appearance and think they have a realistic spot at second in the district.

IMO (and I have voiced this to some on the Lumberton coaching staff) most, if not all, negative comments posted on here towards Lumberton are from folks who are scared Lumberton will or are already better than their teams. In their minds, it upsets their apple carts.

And bridge city?.... oh yeah y’all have a championship from the 1800s lol sorry I had to!

Yeah he does need play better. Remind me of who those 300 yard passing games came against? Those teams are below average or poor. Drop that total with 4 tds against NS and then I’ll rest my case. That defense definitely needs to play better. Special teams as well

Yeah I saw some activity on Twitter about him returning today. The playoffs start in one month. He has ample time to get in shape and get his wheels going. Taking a couple of hard hits from NS may be good for him.

I don't know why people underestimating PA. Did they expose someones coaching short comings? Did they make someones son look like a first year player? They were prevented from playing in that league for a reason. Step your game up!

Great win. Cole is the man. Pay the man! Interesting decisions coming if tomorrow’s game is rained out. Stick with Urquidy for game 4 or go with Grienke on full rest? That would put Urquidy starting game 6 Either way the Yanks will have to win 2 of 3 from Greinke, JV and Cole. I like our chances.

Tarkington isn't that bad this year. They might get the third spot. I really wish the UIL would put a stop to the four team playoff format. It makes a mockery of the whole thing.

I would like to remind everyone of my post about how PNG cannot score 35 points against anyone not 2 divisions smaller than them. out district seems pretty bad just sayin. Hopefully teams can grow over the course of district play and get better!

Were it not for the census bureau adding Newton County to the count, Beaumont Port Arthur Orange would have had negative growth. Most census projections show the area shrinking in population by the end of the century. As for the plants, these new units only need 5-10 people to run them. The construction is temporary. The area really needs to diversify. It's not a good sign when Orange county doesn't have a hospital and they refuse to pay for one and Port Arthur loses one. Doesn't speak well for the health and growth prospects for the area.

Yep. If he turned 19 next Sunday instead of last Sunday, he would have been fine. Meanwhile, a couple of kids who turned 20 their senior year for a couple of this area’s perennial powers were able to suit up and play within the past several years. But the only age waivers that exist with UiL apply to special Ed and disabilities.
