We aren’t all delusional. We know we lost some badass players last year, plus W.T. plus Neece. We know replacing them is impossible but we are confident They’ve passed along the tools to rebuild another really good team. Humble but confident.

I don't think Lee should be state ranked or anything like that, but Splendora beat them last year and Lee dispatched them this year with ease. Splendora is likely about the same type of team they were last year which means the Ganders are greatly improved. Lee nearly made the playoffs last year after many poor seasons, a few being winless. They are a much better team this year than last. Any sort of success gets me excited as a Gander fan.

High school football belongs on Friday nights....

Funny how the tax base was able to afford such a nice stadium. While the New Caney area does have a number of unrestricted residential areas it also has a solid base of restricted neighborhoods as well.

If WH doesn’t win tonight, it will be because they beat themselves penalty wise. This is a senior heavy team with all but a couple of the seniors starting varsity when they were freshman. Football smart athletes that have been playing together since before JR high. People can say what they want. These are good respectable kids, most of them national honor society students that know how to play the game. With the new offense for this year, it puts the ball in the many different hands and they can break one at any moment. I believe it’s going to be a good productive season for the Oilers. I’m taking WH over HD because of the experience level and horses in the stable.

#1. Thing I want to see tonight is a competitive football game and the most important thing I don’t want to see is any injuries to neither team we both can’t afford it. I’m expected good crowd. The last time LCM won their first opening football game it was 2011. Kinda sad Anyways good luck to both teams.

No the problem is. Majority of the post are from people who has never played a down of football. Their experience is from Madden and Fanatsy Football. I am a true newton fan, played the game and even coached for a little. I am not blind to other teams. But one thing about Newton fans we don’t spend our time in the past. Yes we know what lies ahead.

Newton produces play makers. It’s not just something that started. I remover a Anthony Byerly, Fred Kenebrew, James Boy, DJ Dean, Kevin Shorter. And I can name plenty more. That were just as good. Is a Newton thang and most wont understand

I get that Newton reloads. I completely understand this. They are a powerhouse. BUT you do not replace BARLOW and not lose a step. The one filling in is still really good I'm sure, but Barlow is the best RB I have seen in person. On all levels. I am not saying that Newton is not good anymore. I am simply saying that you can not just replace the 3 kids mentioned and not lose a step.

One of the reasons I give Newton a chance is because Silsbee is slow out of the gate for some reason. If this was week ten instead of week two it might be a different story. Win or lose this game will answer a lot of questions for me.

United has to clean up those penalties. False starts and delay of game penalties don't cut it against really good teams.

PAM will be fine. United will be fine. I know The U will be motivated next week but they could 'delay game' their way to an L Just saying

Huntsville is #4 in the state and I'm sure there defense is very stout again. Last year they had athletes all over the field. They had us covered like blankets and beat RJ up. Even though the big boy Sweat is gone I expect them to be strong again. The running game better be working for PNG tonite. This game will tell us a lot about PNG. I expect Huntsville to win by 14+ points. I hope I'm wrong and best of luck to the Indians.

Not 100% sure about rel, but not many bad teams score 75 points on anyone.

Newton have been loosing great players for years and still be great. The difference between Newton and other teams is they prepare to lose players. The players coming up are prepared to be just as great This is why their program works. Yes WT is gone. But Drew has been groomed to take his place. Who do you think was coaching when WT was out sick? And like any father. He passed it on. Newton will beat Silsbee again.

Thats not always the case. Good teams lose great talent all the time and them turn around and still have a perfect regular season. Newton may not be as good as last year but they are still dangerous. I always look at each side. LOOK not agree. I agree that the kid is wrong and will pay the price. I agree that the kid should go through the legal process. But in the sake of debate, which is why we post here sometimes and by having many people of different nationalities, opinions, up bringing, morals, ect., we should be able to weigh in on both sides. Me, I'm a devil's advocate kind of guy. Should be apparent for anyone that's been on this site for a significant time. If what you came up with was that I believe that there was a situation that I'd agree with any kid physically assaulting an adult, then you may have to re evaluate your way of thinking, which is a head scratcher to me. And for me having to break this down like this is beyond me. But back to football. This kid shouldn't be allowed to play another down of football on the high school level for that headbutt to an official...
