We aren’t all delusional. We know we lost some badass players last year, plus W.T. plus Neece. We know replacing them is impossible but we are confident They’ve passed along the tools to rebuild another really good team. Humble but confident.

I don't think Lee should be state ranked or anything like that, but Splendora beat them last year and Lee dispatched them this year with ease. Splendora is likely about the same type of team they were last year which means the Ganders are greatly improved. Lee nearly made the playoffs last year after many poor seasons, a few being winless. They are a much better team this year than last. Any sort of success gets me excited as a Gander fan.

If WH doesn’t win tonight, it will be because they beat themselves penalty wise. This is a senior heavy team with all but a couple of the seniors starting varsity when they were freshman. Football smart athletes that have been playing together since before JR high. People can say what they want. These are good respectable kids, most of them national honor society students that know how to play the game. With the new offense for this year, it puts the ball in the many different hands and they can break one at any moment. I believe it’s going to be a good productive season for the Oilers. I’m taking WH over HD because of the experience level and horses in the stable.

I am eating crow. I didn't think that they could pull it off against a program such as Nederland. I heard the referees stuck it to United by incorrectly placing the football behind the first down marker on 2 occasions and threw flags on several first downs. They also called back 2 touchdowns against United. Hats off to the coaching staff! It was good to hear that the BU coaches made adjustments at halftime. This win will be a big boost to that program. Not many people (including myself) thought that at this time of the year they would be 2-0. Now my Tigers will go out tonight and shock everyone in the area and beat Newton.

I wasn't at this game so I can't comment directly but the game and scrimmage that I saw were some of the same things. Ned needs to get the O line lined out and stop all of the dumb penalties. Probably need to focus on the run game and pass less. I was listening and I am not sure why they went away from the run game with the exception of the 2nd - 3rd and longs caused by the penalties.

I knew Nederland didn’t have a chance being down by 2 scores. First half was a defensive, penalty ridden battle. The pick six was a huge mistake by the quarterback as well as the first interception. BU made the right changes after the half. They will making a lot of noise as the season goes on . Ned will be fine. Like someone said before, seen to many 1-2, 0-3 starts and turn out with good playoff runs.

Very impressed with United defense. Very fast and the front 4 are big and mean. Timberwolves will make some noise this season. Was good catching up with Alpha Wolf and BMTSoulja.

Silsbee is going to run all over most teams they play. I'm really excited for the WO-S game, to see how that Mustang defense stacks up against this particular Sislbee running back squad. The Silsbee line is big. After the PNG game, I'd say the biggest weakness is being mistake prone, for Silsbee, and everyone has mentioned the conditioning. But if Silsbee can avoid fumbles and interceptions, they are going to give Nederland a good game, and maybe shock WO-S again. This running back group from Silsbee is the best in the area.

Congrats to United on the win. Best of luck to y’all for the rest of season. I know y’all will get atleast 3rd place finish. Never know with brook and being a rivalry game strange things happen... Bulldogs back to the drawing board. The things I said is our weakness showed all night. But with Nederland staff they always get it fixed before district. I have seen way to many times 1-2/ 0-3 entering district and make a run. It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish.

Newton have been loosing great players for years and still be great. The difference between Newton and other teams is they prepare to lose players. The players coming up are prepared to be just as great This is why their program works. Yes WT is gone. But Drew has been groomed to take his place. Who do you think was coaching when WT was out sick? And like any father. He passed it on. Newton will beat Silsbee again.
