  1. Liberalism trumps all. A broad, and true statement. Gender. Religion. Anything, sadly including our country. In fact, I’d go so far as to say Liberalism is a religion for the Left, and they are as devout, or more so, than any other religious followers.

  3. Not sure if anyone has been following, but we had a rare occurrence this week. Two district foes met in the finals for a state championship. After finishing first and second at the district tournament AND AGAIN at the regional tournament, Sabine Pass’s Travis Mistry and Deweyville’s James Menard met in the final match at the 2A State Tournament. As was the case the previous two times, Mistry again came out on top. But what an incredible accomplishment for both young men - congrats! [Hidden Content]

  10. That is spot on. Funny how music and sports are alike. Nothing better than 80’s and 90’s professional sports, just like the music. And we could go back further than that. Can’t hardly stand to listen to today’s country music or watch pro sports. Specifically the NBA, probably haven’t watched a game in 5-6 years, can’t stand it!

  13. The problem is that there is no inherent right to information. It has to be written into the law. The federal government and each state has its own laws on freedom of information. They are definitely not the same. In Texas there are things that must be released upon request, things that may be released upon request but not mandatory and things that cannot be released. i’ll give you an example on Texas law. Under Texas civil service law The only thing that the state recognizes as punishment for police officers is a suspension. Punishment (suspension) is part of a public record. All of the corrective actions are sealed and private. Even when a police officer is terminated it is called an indefinite suspension. So if an officer gets a letter in his file of a reprimand, it is not public. If he has his duty assignment changed or the shift that he works changed because of a discipline issue, it is not public and is protected information. If it rises to the level of a suspension, then it becomes public. That is an example where the law says you cannot release information but under certain conditions you must release the information. Another example under Texas law is the making of a police call for service. If a person calls the police, if the police make a traffic stop or any other type of official police contact, it is public record. How far that public record goes is the issue however. The fact that a person called the police is public including the person’s name (if known) and the address the police went to and the general complaint. An example would be a person calling the police to report his home had been broken into over the weekend. What the police did there if they made a police report can be protected however. If the police made a report or investigation, the public part would be the location, the accused crime or incident and the victim’s name. The details of the report however can be protected. That is why the news media in many cases cannot give details of a crime being reported by them because the police do not have to release the information and in most cases will not. Releasing such information tends to hamper the investigation and by law can kill a confession or the information used at a criminal trial. So while it is not illegal to release the information to the public, it could make the investigation very difficult particularly in the area of confessions. Those are just examples of how the law differs according to where you were at. Apparently the federal law covering Washington DC has not yet required the police release that information. I am sure that media sources have filed legal issues in reference to this to see if the government is complying with the law. I know in my Police Department (and probably all) we get freedom of information requests all the time and turn it over to the legal department to see if The information can be released.or if we have the option of privacy. I don’t see how policy is protected but without knowing the law in Washington DC, I simply do not know.

  14. All 3 are among the best ever. I suspect we can all agree that they don’t make them like the used to anymore. Which is why our playlists are full of those guys. Or maybe we are just getting old.

    Global Warming Update!

Does regression ring a bell when thinking of Man Made Global Warming, Global Warming, Climate Change, or whatever the current hysteria driven name is? That is Scientific regression. We actually have people taking pot shots aimed at people that adhere to scientific methodology, by insinuating that we are "Neanderthals" (thanks for the analogy Biden) for asking for proof of a "theory" that has less evidential proof than the United States faking the moon landing. Or less evidence than the "theory" that Steven King was the one that actually shot John Lennon. Or that the Holocaust never happened. Or that Katy Perry is actually Jonbenet Ramsey. Or that Elvis is still alive. Or that women make 70 cents on the dollar for doing the same exact job with the same experience as a man. When do we start turning the tables by calling out the "Neanderthals" (thanks again Biden) for making such belittling statements. I guess I will start. If you believe what the media/politicians/fake climatologists have told you about Man Made Global Warming, and you are in favor of spending hard earned tax dollars to solve a problem that has never been proven to exist, then you are an Un-American deplorable (thanks Hillary) that has no business weighing in on a topic that is way beyond your comprehension. You are a detriment to the American (and the world) way of life. You need to learn your station and admit you are not capable of discussing issues with people of even moderate intellectual means. If you are offended...good. You deserve it. Put up or shut up. Show me the proof of your Climate Change religion. I bet none of you will. You've been challenged...and all I foresee is tails tucking between legs and running from the topic like a frightened schoolgirl. I have no doubt that the Al Gore disciples will be totally silent and will not dare respond to this challenge, but will reappear in a later topic to continually ridicule people that simply ask for the proof, pretending that this challenge never existed. Anyone care to take that bet?

  19. I know everyone thinks George is King, and he is well deserving of that moniker. But if not for Whitley’s demons, he definitely would have been on the same level as Stait, if not bigger. For the record, not one Strait song on my playlist, but loaded with Keith Whitley. Not that I dislike George, just like Whitley better.

  20. It’s a problem with no good answers that I can see. From what little I know of Hobos, they used to stay out in the woods. Today, the homeless want to be in town where they can panhandle and get alcohol and/or drugs. I suppose they use bathrooms in local businesses, but that’s not fair to the owners. It’s a line between being compassionate and trying to keep an orderly society. It’ll take someone smarter than me to figure out a solution that meshes the two.

  21. And what did this young patriot do? He spoke out against Marxism and critical race theory in the Military. What are you going to do Biden? Destroy our Military? [Hidden Content]
