I always tell my sons... "things done in darkness will come out in the light". this is sad. Adult administrators should know better.

This district could happen again minus Carthage since I'm hearing Henderson may be dropping to D2 so I'm pretty sure they will be in whatever district Carthage will be in so to rectify that you would have to look a little bit more west to add another school into a district like this and you can keep Tarkington down south.

Yes but it's too late. Perpetuating the lie now is difficult. Uh oh.

Hmmmm

That’s a good point made in the hearing… bc had to stop using their tech because of LCM concealing the band which put BC at a disadvantage.

See, I told y'all it would be points I have an affection for BU due to my children graduating from Central With that said, Sterling didn't do their part to help keep Cove out of the playoffs......

When was LCM 5ad1? Do you mean 5ad2?

Re: Theft - Yes, it’s theft as soon as he decides to keep someone else’s property that he knows he’s not received consent to keep. It’s closer to conversion since he wasn’t stealing when it was handed to him, but that’s another word for “theft.” I’m not phased by it not being a violation of any rule written in a handbook. Does there need to be a “don’t-steal-the-other-team’s-property-and-lie-that-you-don’t-have-it-and-only-give-it-back-after-getting-video-evidence-that-you-took-it” rule? It not being a rule doesn’t mean it was positively approved by the rules committee. I think people would have assumed that “a coach shall commit no misdemeanors” would not need to be in the handbook. And, I’m sure there’s something in the rules about sportsmanship, honesty, good conduct, etc, so it this kind of conduct is a rule violation.

Sounds like I could have been eligible 38 years ago. Never looked into it. I was making $350 a week. Payed rent, utilities, food, truck note, formula and diapers….heck, I was even smoking back then. It was tight, but some people can manage money. Like you, I have always worked. There was a span in between jobs where I drew unemployment, but back then, they called your contacts to make sure you were seeking employment. Not sure how that’s handled these days. I only did it the one time. I worked all the OT I could get. As for your post, I’m not sure if that’s an incentive to work or not. There’s no drive in today’s workers. There are the few exceptions, of course, but most show up on a job and say pay me, I’m here. If being the father of a child doesn’t cause one to stop sowing the wild oats and settle down, nothing else will. People nowadays don’t shoulder responsibility very well. I was a good provider for my family. They’re grown now so I get to spend time with the grandkids. Nothing in the whole world beats that. -
I’ve read a lot of smack from the LCM fans, but the end of the day the Cardinals are fighting up/out of their weight class and tied for first-and I think they’d be undefeated in the district if not for what happened in this game. What does that say about LCM if BC is accused of taking the “easy road” by opting up to play the Bears? If anybody wants to take a trip down memory lane, how were things going for the Bears before they dropped down from 5A D1? They stunk. Then they hired a “state championship caliber” coach… and he somehow lost his mojo… or BOJO, if you prefer. I don’t blame them for cheating… I would do anything to avoid getting handled up by a much smaller school from across town, too. Like when they duck their longtime cross town rival Mustangs. Whatever happens in the meeting today doesn’t matter. I believe that the Bears deserve a forfeit, but it won’t change anything. We’ll see ‘em next year and pick up where we left off the second half.

LCM won't be able to contain Lumberton's momentum. They have been on fire since that big loss to Bridge City. Lumberton by 2 scores.

Yes it was. Now United needs a Barbers Hill win over West Brook for the Timberwolves to make playoffs. A WB win eliminates BU. -
Got confirmation that the district does use the point tie break system throughout and not just to break three way then head to head for the remaining two teams. With that, United needs a Barbers Hill win to get in playoffs. Current point totals for BH, BU and WB: BH +18 beat United by 25 but district has an 18 point max WB -7 lost to United by 7 BU -11 lost to BH by 25 (18 max), beat WB by 7 BU finishes at -11 The worst BH can finish is 0 (that's if WB beats them by 18 or more) The best WB could finish is +11 (WB win by 18 or more) West Brook needs to win by 12 or more to get #3 seed. A win by 11 or less and BH is the #3 seed and WB is #4 seed. A win by BH and they are the #2 seed (based on their head to head win over Lufkin) and United is the #4 seed. @Austin1985
