Silsbee has a kid that wore #21 at RB last year. He was a freshman. He had some good quickness as he hit the line. He was rather small and im sure he may have put on a few pounds since last season. I dont know his name. Last name may have been Johnson?
-
Silsbee will be Running back by committee but I do believe someone will stand out by week 5. Johnson could have a phenomenal season inside and outside the pocket. Having full time at QB, you will see how talented he is. Silsbee lost alot but Silsbee also had a bunch of sophomore, juniors, and few freshman on varsity. I think JV and freshman were pretty good last year as well.

For those curious what corticobasal degeneration is, the below link is fairly easy to read. It affects around 2,000-3,000 people per year in the U.S., so it’s one of the rare ‘Parkinsonism’ diseases. It’s typically called a Parkinson’s Plus disease. Not much is known about it at this time, and research has been very limited. We’ve been told by the Head of the Neurological Dept. at Houston Methodist (who provided our 2nd opinion after a barrage of all kinds of tests), that Big Pharma hasn’t concentrated any effort on it because there’s not enough of a potential revenue base. But, since it has some similarities to Alzheimer’s, dementia, & Parkinson’s, a new offshoot treatment—if discovered—for one of those conditions might help. [Hidden Content]

Is that the furtherest BC has ever advanced?

What a good mistake to make. Lol. Last Mariners score I saw was 4-2 in like the bottom of 6th. It was a late game on west coast, so I went to bed. Twins tied it up in top of 9th @6-6. Top of 10th, Twins scored 6 runs and won it 12-6. Astros lead by 1/2 game. Go Astros. I lost count of how many outs were attributed to Peña, but he was a monster @ SS last night. I used to worry when we lost Correa because of Correa’s arm strength, but no longer.

Thanks for your kind thoughts! We are one of the most positive, laughing couples you’ll find. We make it a point to have a big hearty laugh at least 17 times a day. Why that number? No idea. I think I read it keeps you healthier somewhere at some time. She rarely gets frustrated. Usually, it’s when I can’t understand what she’s trying to tell me. She cries a little then, but I tell her it’s not her. It’s my bad ears, and we laugh about it. As far as the Research Center, I found some info on the Cancer Center this will be modeled after. I’m a limited government guy also. At the least, a more local control government person. This appears to be more of an ‘investment in the future’ type of hybrid initiative set up as a pseudo government sanctioned entity. I would describe as similar to the PUC I guess. Somewhat independent. But, Board members appointed by the Governor. Every grant has to be peer approved by medical experts. Attached is the latest report in PowerPoint easy to read slide form. Surprised I didn’t remember anything about it. If the Neurological effort is passed & set up similar, hopefully it can be just as successful. According to this report, it actually generates over $2 Billion/yr. in tax revenue for Texas, and still is able to be the 2nd largest grant funded initiative in the world. Pretty impressive for Texas. [Hidden Content]

Well, I was wrong. Astros at the top of the division on May 31, not All-Star break. So I missed it by a month.

A Chance for Texans to Help Texans in November

My sincere prayers for your wife, your family and you. I have seen the devastation to the individual and the families these diseases bring, though not nearly as closely as you. I’m sorry for that. I don’t trust our government to do the right thing most of the time. Especially when it comes to spending money. Nor do I trust politicians as a whole. Especially when it comes to finding a way to line their pockets with our money. This is more big government and bureaucracy in the making. I hope when it passes, and it will, that at least some good comes from it. -
🤣😂 "economy on fire" lol

Don’t watch tv/internet news or opinions. Read wire reporting and two or three editorialists I like. I make up my own mind.

11-1 dub over STL 💪🏾 -
I’ll leave the stats to you guys. I heard the announcers say 89 and then I saw Rupert with 80 pitches. 83 is correct. Hey, I still had fun. Diaz sure redeemed himself for the runner advancing to 2nd, then gunning him down at 3rd. That was huge. Then the walkoff!!!!

It was 83 but that is still as about as efficient as one can get. Just a tad over 9 pitches per inning on average. Glad this was not a wasted gem. Already had a couple of those this year. Gave up 3 hits, one earned run and 9 K's.
-
Play card in game showed 80 but I'll take it

Box score is showing only 83 pitches. What a performance. Game took 2 hours and 1 minute. -

Just wow. Pitching gem by Valdez 80 pitches in 9 innings. Only mistake was leadoff HR. Only 3 hits 2-1
-
Lowest pitch count for a complete game since Clemens….25 years, for Valdez. 80 pitches. I corrected it. Lol
-
Walkoff HR for Diaz!!!!

I wasn’t aware of this. But, the research center idea came from Texas creating a similar center for research into cancer. Interesting read of the back story. [Hidden Content]

Haley Nutter not pitching tonight?

I don’t care if .500 gets us in the playoffs. Like has already been said……that’s baseball. No matter who you are, if you’re a pitcher, you’re gonna have games like that. Heck, I miss the days of Octavio Dotel / Billy Wagner, but even they lost games. Right now, I’m enjoying the crap out of Peña’s defense.

AggiesWeAre, you are absolutely correct, however the record is still not very good, better than more losses than wins, but still not very good
