But… the Democrats are doing it for it “leverage” because the Republicans won’t meet with them? Is that like when the Democrats were in control and would not meet with the Republicans? So a major Democrat representative said that they know families would suffer and they know that the shutdown is terrible, but they will not vote to pay the workers so they can get political leverage.
