DCTF has this game as a 4 point win for LP at home. Interesting, because I was going to go with the same score as last week: 35-31 LP. Matt Stepp has LP by 2. I really hope the 2nd week improvement from the D shows up. No arm tackling & seal the edges. Shut down the run game, and I think the secondary can make enough plays to get the win. The Dawgs are going to have to play a clean game to get this one against a really tough Mustang squad that often gets overlooked because of NS, Atascocita, and Summer Creek also being in 23-6A. Kingwood is ranked 14 in 6A in the GHA/Region 3 by another publication, and is carrying a lot of momentum after their long PO run last year. Every opponent is going to bring their best game to LP to try to give the Dawgs the first loss in the new stadium. The Dawgs are going to have to match their intensity.

I didn't say they weren't. Saying "much better" is just a guess this early in the season. Buna has 20+ sophomores and only 11 total upperclassmen this year. It'll be a tough year.

Not really, losing Barrier isn’t as painful as it seems. He wouldn’t have anywhere near the receiving corp that he had last year. All 3 top receivers graduated and none that were on the field last week are anywhere close. Anahuac appears to be run-heavy this year but don’t really appear to have the personnel for that either. May be a long year for them. Anahuac, Buna, and Kirbyville are likely bottom of that district.

Did I miss something? Aren't you playing Iowa Colony this week? PLaying them on the road could really be tough. I think they are ranked #5 in state in D2.

RB1 is fine. He’s practiced this week with no limitations

Fort bend Marshall scored 2 touchdowns on special teams due to bad snaps against Friendwood.They had very little ground game.But due to Crosby's usual bad secondary play,Marshall's QB will probably light up the scoreboard.Hope I'm wrong ! FBM 34-21.

Liberty Hill was 9-3 last yr..finished 2nd in their district and lost in the 2nd round of the playoffs...they were outta the top ten most of the second half of 2024....they also got beat last week 45-10

Hope the kids pull it out but not likely, huge improvements needed, you know like any level of discipline and not getting half your oline thrown out of a game. I'm just hoping Crosby can find a way to not get taunting penalties after they have a team 3rd and 11. very low bar don't punch people and taunt people is a win right now. teams behavior was an embarrassment to the entire town last week. With discipline the buck stops with the head coach period.
