Good news is the DFW area gained a lot of 5AD2. So the split for them to R1 &R2 looks to have plenty of teams without having to reach down into Houston/BMT areas at all. Is Galena Park really opting up and why??? -
I'm with you - I think the answer lies in expanding Medicare/Medicaid somehow. I don't know how, and it is going to be difficult, but hopefully someone smarter than me can figure it out.

Saw that myself. Very interesting post. I have a whole bunch of thoughts on that that I'll keep to myself. At the end of the day, she and her husband have options if it's that bad. -

In other news, the 3 judge appellate panel ruled Trump is within his rights to deploy the NG in DC for crime prevention.

More than money. Freedom. The freedom of true choice. That's not what the Dem's & Obama gave us. They gave us the illusion of choice with a hefty price tag. Make no mistake. I'm not an ACA fan. I am a pre-existing coverage fan. Other than that requirement, I think the market should be open with cafeteria style plans available to whomever. Let the insurers offer us their options. Let us choose. Or, choose not to be covered. No government intervention telling them what they have to offer as a minimum covered item. Stipulate with Medicare/Medicaid/Chip. Those are true government run systems. Don't tell private insurers what they have to cover as far as specific items.

Saw an interesting post on Facebook from one of the WO-S coaches wives. Seems someone is keeping receipts. -
It is going to painful before it gets better. I wish there was another way, but I'm not sure there is. Some of the things DOGE cut were ridiculous things tat were unneeded. The things they cut that are needed will be added back. Bottom line, either we fix it, or we keep it the way it is......My vote is to fix it

I call it “having better talent”. He did not become competent all of a sudden. He is and has been fully competent ever since he arrived. He was coaching for a minute before he took the current position. -

To clarify, you are saying that in order to offset enrollment deficit you must have either “million dollar addresses” or “a lot of black kids”? Correct? - Today

This is another typical government approach. Biden mandated the EV push with no plan to support it. DOGE cut departments and programs with no plan to address the voided needs. Congress plans to eliminate subsidies without a plan for relief to those most in need. There're way too many examples to list. They care so much they will revisit this in January. Follow the money.

And yet you just missed the whole point of me saying Crosby would be more competitive too once we had 2,800+ kids like Kingwood? I’ve stated the same thing every time and I’ve told you why those schools with smaller enrollments can be highly competitive. You have million dollar addresses like some of the Vandy kids or a large number of heavily recruited black kids like Longview does. If your school is 72% Hispanic like North Shore you better have a big enrollment to mitigate that or have a total football playing enrollment of about 1,500. The last decade of course we’ve had 20 6A state champions; Duncanville, North Shore, Westlake, Katy, Longview, Allen, Cy-Fair and Lake Travis. None of them go against what I’ve stated and none of the 4 state finalist playing in 6A do this year either. This fact that you had to throw Willis in there who 1) has 2,900 kids and growing fast and 2) was 12-20 their first three years in 6A until their enrollment grew and they could close the gap on schools like The Woodlands shows you can’t “give me a list” of elite 6A programs that go against what I said. You may not like what I’m saying but as far as the THSF 6A landscape goes the numbers are the numbers. -
I’m making an assumption here, but I imagine your ESI insurance (employer sponsored) went up because of the ACA mandate of minimum coverage for a company with more than 50 employees. The minimum coverage had to be equivalent to what the government stipulated in ACA as required minimum coverage. That may have been more than what y’all were being offered through your employer. Of course, much of the requirements (birth control, etc.) were things the government shouldn’t have been stipulating IMHO. They added costs for us all, but almost pure profit for the insurers.

Nope. I think everyone’s in agreement that healthcare costs are out of control. Mine went up as well. I was still working. Now, I pay an exorbitant amount with no other options. The only thing I ever agreed with about ACA was preexisting coverage. That could have been done another way. Didn’t need the monstrosity we have now.

It would definitely represent me, why wouldn’t me and millions like me count?

Shrinkage and private/charter schools -
All I know is this, when Obamacare kicked in the company insurance representative informed us that our insurance was going up 30%, the company covered some of it but my premiums went up a lot, all due to the ACA. My insurance went up to cover others due to government interference, as did many folks, anything right about that?

In other news, 20 people will be killed in Chicago this weekend and no one will know their names. While I agree somewhat that Trump should not have said this, it would be refreshing if everyone else showed some respect for the office. It could tone things down a tad.

They are trying to - Democrats are the ones that put us in the mess, remember not one republican vote on this life changing bill. It was complicated and insurance cost have risen/sky rocketed the last 11 years. It has been painful. Democrats knew it was there problem and ignored it. Republicans are trying to fix it, but it won't be easy and there will be some pain involved. You can't fix something overnight that took 11 years to get to where we are at.
