I like many of his policies. But, a few of these lately have been head scratchers. He's become too desirous of a deal, and is giving up too much of the farm to try and get one. He's already postponed the banishment/sale of TikTok after everyone saying what a security threat it is, and passed a law to ban it. Now, he's willing to accept students--at research facilities no less--when he knows they're asked to spy. All in the name of some deal the Chinese will never live up to anyway. As the supposed King of the Deal, he needs to recognize when the best deal may be no deal. Get your personal ego out of the way, and think longer term.

Pretty much the same response I got from a WB and KTZ coach! "Because a lot of rules can basically be bent or over ruled by the UIL at any time I’ve come to notice 😂" Good old UIL everything is grey and keeps getting more grey!

Angleton's defense has gotten some reinforcements over the off season. CB Jordan Hasker comes over from FB Marshall as a sophomore and already has 2 D1 offers. Lathan Newman, another CB, comes down from Shadow Creek where he led their freshman team with 6 int's according to HUDL. He was also the middle school defensive MVP, but they don't say whether that was just for his school or the district. Also Gavin Hebert, Angleton's left OT last year has apparently moved over to DT. He was 2nd team all district as a sophomore at Hightower in 2023 at DT.

Trivia: If High School Football is King in Texas, La Porte and Deer Park are the coronation sites, and The Border Battle is the 'Official Texas State Rivalry'. The battle for Texas Independence was fought and won at San Jacinto in La Porte, and Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna was caught, captured, and surrendered to General Sam Houston in what is now Deer Park. Texas Independence was birthed in these two blue collar towns that border one another, and are separated by a white line on a road. Commemorating the battle that secured independence, the San Jacinto Monument in La Porte is still the world's tallest war memorial at 567.31 feet. (The Washington Monument is 555 feet.) If you're coming to see a game at La Porte, it's worth it to come early, stop at the San Jacinto Monument and see the exhibits and grounds.

My last post on university comparisons was to really ask the question…..why doesn’t China (and other countries) educate their own? We have more Indian (not native) students than Chinese and India hasn’t been much of a friend lately. Why come here? As of late, I question the “higher learning” of our schools. I’ve posted videos of college students who can’t tell you how many moons earth has, and the higher learning schools are woke and antisemitic, so exactly what is the attraction for over half a million students? I’m a Trump supporter, but this throws up some red flags. Funny…..libs never question their leaders.

I was there that night, definitely an error I would say.

Everything is wrong with that. Especially you holding a quality education and a quality football team on equal footing. It's also worth noting that putting your kid into the best math program does not screw other kids.

Just a Google search. 600,000 students seems like a lot. Chinese universities are rapidly improving in global rankings due to massive government investment and research output, while U.S. universities remain strong but are improving at a slower pace. Key differences include the heavily standardized, high-pressure Chinese admission system versus a more holistic U.S. approach, the greater government control in China's education system compared to U.S. university autonomy, and lower tuition costs and living expenses in China. Key Differences Admissions: China: Admissions are dominated by the high-stakes, nationwide Gaokao exam, which students cram for extensively and which heavily influences their future prospects. U.S.: U.S. universities use a more holistic approach, considering grades, essays, extracurriculars, and other factors for admission. Government Influence: China: The government heavily influences higher education and research through initiatives and directives. U.S.: U.S. universities have greater autonomy, though they are overseen by government-appointed accrediting agencies and have governing boards. Cost: China: Tuition and living costs, including food and dorms, are significantly lower than in the U.S. U.S.: Public and private universities in the U.S. typically have much higher tuition and living expenses. Curriculum and Focus: China: The curriculum is often focused on deeper learning in a narrower set of subjects, with less emphasis on optional courses. U.S.: There is a greater emphasis on creativity and a broader, more flexible curriculum, often with a wide range of optional courses. Campus Environment: China: Campuses often have a more controlled environment, with gates and walls, and the academic atmosphere can be more structured. U.S.: Campuses are generally more open and diverse, and the culture emphasizes meritocracy and cultural inclusivity. Recent Trends Rising Global Reputation: Chinese universities have seen a dramatic rise in global rankings due to focused government investment in scientific research, leading to higher research productivity. Quality of Education: While U.S. universities continue to improve, they are doing so at a slower pace than many Asian universities, particularly in China. International Recognition: Chinese academic qualifications are increasingly recognized internationally, with many universities offering programs taught in English to attract international students

I understand that Rice lost quite a bit from that squad last year to graduation? EC may have a shot at this one. What's the new QB's name? -

Huntsville @ Brenham. Hope the Frito Pie is good. -
Way wrong. The school is responsible for providing an education. Not to monopolize on sports and NIL. Also, as a taxpayer I am not going to pay for your kid to come in and take advantage of what was built within the community. If your kid is that good, send them to IMG or a private school known for sports.

I don't think any MAGA would agree with this. I do trust Trump. So, is this a ploy of some sort? Who knows. But if this is real, I would suggest contacting your Congressman and Senators about this. The bottom line, if true, is that any student from China is required to spy when in the US. I don't think anyone can reasonably doubt this!
