  1. Past hour
  2. Yes you are absolutely spot on Lamar hired a good AD and the programs are improving Hopefully they will be winning championships soon
  3. Today
  4. Yes I do have 100% verification about the matter, but to not violate any rules on this board, I’m going withhold from talking about it… this thread would get locked up fairly quickly. If you wanna read about it get on google search…
  5. Today is Flag Day. It commemorates the adoption of the first official U.S. flag. The celebration began June 14, 1777. Hopefully, many people will fly their U.S. flags proudly as the progressive/anarchists will surely be parading their countries’ flags around at all the protests today, and I guarantee they won’t be U.S. flags. Bad timing, purposeful, or pure disrespect… I can disagree with a lot going on in this country, but still be proud to be an American. My flags will be flying as they do every day.
  6. Thank you for your admission that you have just been trolling this past year and that you do, in fact, agree with those of us who think the powers that be have Lamar going in the right direction. Kind of a weird thing to troll about but to each his own. No one has said there isn’t room for improvement (there always is) or that the Southland conference is a juggernaut (although we all agree Lamar is situated and competing against schools it should be competing against). But I believe Jeff O’Malley was a home run hire unlike some of the previous ADs (certainly including his immediate predecessor). This is also directly attributable to Lamar President Jaime Taylor who I also believe is the best Lamar has had at that position in decades. I too would love to see Lamar win their tournament and get to play a game in March Madness (they aren’t upsetting a top 20 team like McNeese did unless they get a few million a year to go out and buy players like the Cowboys are able to do), or get to play in a regional NCAA baseball tournament. But just because you don’t finish first doesn’t mean your season is a failure. “If you ain’t first, your last,” after all, was the mantra of a fictional character in a comedy that was premised on what an embecile he was.
  7. Yes, that’s about as far as you read into your own posts.
  8. He sucks the wind right out of the dem’s sails.
  9. Raise your hand if you've ever defended the Clintons relating this issue? Anyone? Don't recall it! Release the files or keep looking more and more guilty! Roger stones a reliable source now? Lol 4 years and the right didn't release it? 🧐🤔🫡
  10. You lost me when you mentioned Bill and Hannity
  11. I hope it rains
  12. I love it. Trump sucks
  13. I am not impressed. 88% of black people voted for kamala
  14. Well, I had a wonderful time. Astros explode early and pitch well enough to win. Peña is unbelievable. If Paredes had been in there, I know he would have smacked one. Great win. Keep it going. I even applauded Correa because I liked him when he was an Astro. Lots of people booed him. I can’t be that way.
  15. I think I know exactly what a blow out is The truth for this past season for Lamar Football even though they were only 7-5, it was still their best season in many years Mens basketball had their best season in many years 20-13 with only 2 blowout losses to 2 very good teams A&M and Tech. All other losses were close, even the 3 losses to McNeese that had an excellent year and a win in the tournament were close Baseball had a very good regular season record 40-15 In fact the only major sport that did not do well was softball(I don’t count VB as a major sport) So yes Lamar athletics had a very good year I think the biggest disappointment was baseball losing 2 straight in SLC tournament against teams they had defeated in conference. I just don’t know why women’s basketball and baseball do not do well when they get to the conference tournament so yes I do know what a blowout is!
  16. Nice 10-3 win over twins. All 3 runs for Twins were dingers. 5 up and 9 over 500. Live bats again.
  17. Nice try. Pretty certain you think a 9 point win in basketball is a blowout.
  18. SECDEF and CJCOS (along with the rest of the JCOS) are political/advisory positions. Heck, you could eliminate 2/3 of the General & Admiral ranks and not lose a tactical/operational iota. They’re administrators for the most part. If you know anything, you know the secret to the success of the U.S. military is that it’s a bottom up operational force. Sergeants and Chiefs basically run the tactical operations. Command structure—operationally—could stop at the Colonel/Captain level and still function without missing much of a beat. Most O7 & above aren’t even weapons qualified anymore. This is different than every other modern military. SECDEF and JCOS are basically irrelevant except as conduits. They neither make nor approve any plans. They make recommendations and budgets. That’s it. Yes. A lot has changed since my time. But, not that much in the way of operations.
  19. Maybe so, not sure how else he could have seen it playing out.

  23. Yesterday
  24. Perhaps he was seeking an end.
  25. Onalaska gets some great competition based on how these teams finished last season with Lipan Liberty-Eyalu Paradise
  26. The 2 blow out losses were to A&M and Texas Tech
  27. That statement is as Wally Clever always said giving you the business and it certainly did
  28. To me definitely justified
