That's an interesting situation now. The guy that used to work under the AD/HC is now AD, is over and can remove his former boss if so desired? Interesting stuff. Man, I hope it all works out for PAM. Thankfully in Lufkin now, everything is absolutely all on the same page from Superintendent, the board to the AD/HC, all across the spectrum.

I just read the Port Arthur News piece this morning, regarding the new AD. The article implies that the new AD and the current HFC are buds. I hope so. I wonder why the lady that was hired earlier backed out. Anyway, regardless of what's going on there politically or otherwise, as an outsider I've wondered in the past why the Memorial soccer teams (both boys and girls) weren't better, and perhaps other sports as well. Hopefully it will work out well for the kids, for football and all other sports in the district.

#8 UNO and #6 HCU are the only teams undefeated in the tournament. Both need only win 1 game while the team each faces will need to win at 1:00 today, then face the undefeated team at 6:00, and beat that team again Sunday at 1:00. Would be interesting to see HCU host next week against UNO. Still a long shot, but could happen.

You may certainly be right about more than coaches, however the last several coaches haven’t got the job done. I mean they can’t even win a conference championship in any major sport in a very weak SLC. That is why I would say that Lamar’s AD and administration is happy with mediocrity I would think if you wanted success you would make some changes. I know that both basketball teams, baseball, and softball teams choke year after year when conference tournament play begins

You saying the last time Lamar made tNCAA basketball tourney was under Tubbs? I don't settle but I am very realistic. This day and age of college athletics is much much more than having "The Coach". Particularly at the Mid Major level.

After a rocky start the Eagles advance to the State Semi’s with a 8-1 win tonight. BH starting to find them batts hitting 3 HR’s in this series. BH will play the winner of Smithson Valley & Leander. Leander is up 1-0 in that series.
