Could not agree with you more. I just don't like when folks start pointing the finger at the things that really don't matter just to fit their narrative. I think this guy was screwy not just because he was trans. But some want to just point that out. I do agree that anyone changing their sex has screws loose. But becoming trans does not make one shoot children. There are obvious other issues there. I just think it's two faced for folks to be offended when someone points out the fact that majority of mass shooters are white males but then want to point out that this guy is trans. That's my point. Like you said, none of that really matters.

Well…..if we are about eliminating/reducing such tragic events we have to look at causes and part of that is the character/mental make up of the person (influences)culture of their environment (past as well as present) skin color doesn’t matter whiteness doesn’t cause you to do anything blackness doesn’t cause you to do anything brownness doesn’t cause you to do anything thats like saying the color of someone’s hair is more apt to_______…. Culture matters, mental make up matters and that is across all colors of skin.

Let's get one thing straight. Trans or not, anyone is whacked for shooting kids. This shouldn't be about if the guy is trans. Doesn't matter. Pointing out trans violence is no different than certain people pointing out the fact that the vast majority of mass shootings in this country are from white males. None of that matters.

I think so. One of the cool things I haven’t seen elsewhere at high school stadiums is—between the seating levels—on the concourse on both sides are large ribbon video boards that they programmed in things like ‘big hit!’, growling, and stuff like that with flashing colors & sounds, etc. like you’d see at a professional stadium. As it was getting darker, even with the stadium lights on, the graphics & sound lit up the stadium. I can see it really getting the crowd pumped up. It’s going to be something else again tomorrow night. I asked the Superintendent (Dr. Jackson) to make sure they would announce crowd size when he had to let us out to the elevator. They’ve sold everything they could & still had people wanting more seats. He did say they were going to have some type of temporary block to keep the fan bases apart in the stands for this specific game—if that gives people a clue on if this is a friendly rivalry or not.

2025 Beaumont United Boys Basketball Fall League
Cu Chulainn replied to BMTSoulja1's topic in High School Boys Basketball
I wish Orangefield could have gotten in the BU Fall League. It would have been some great competition. We were on the list when it was originally supposed to be at WB, but something was lost in translation when the league moved to BU. -

You're not sure how you feel about the First Amendment? Moral lessons are needed among the adults running this state, country, and the bigots that post here daily.

Orangefield’s district is weak. I do not see Brady Barrier on Anahuac’s roster.

Naw it won't be like that Hope this works on Friday. As always I'll be on the aisle just under the press box. Really seems like the wrong term now. Maybe we should call it Mustang Manor. [Hidden Content]

No direct relation. I'm sure with an uncommon name like that they got to be related somewhere down the line

Not really sure how I feel about this. I’ve always been one that believed family came first, parents were primary, and religion was best left to be taught by the parents and their belief group. On the other hand, the moral lessons are sorely needed among our youth, and just seeing them—without even discussing formally—may give some pause to think more about how they treat others. Similar to cell phones being taken away is making them have actual face-to-face interactions. Also a good thing to me. I know at the La Porte town pep rally at the new stadium tonight, the School Board President led the entire crowd (probably 5.000 or so) in a prayer before the festivities. Everyone—even the smaller kids—were at least respectful and quiet. Even if they didn’t pray along. So, some schools still do keep those traditions alive.
