Very similar. Worse for Hickman though, he was replacing back-to-back Hall of Fame coaches. But replacing any HOF coach has got to be tough, and Sigler is a lock for that. Good news for Coach Brown is he will have two of the best assistants you can find sitting beside him.

This kind of is similar to when WO-S replaced Thompson with Hickman. One of the top programs in the state replacing a legend who won multiple championships with a coach from a lesser program. Will be interesting to see if he forces his grind it out defensive style or keeps what has been working.

But I post the stats to show that if a team continues to be top 5 in hitting and top 5 in pitching in their league (also the only team in their division that can say that) then over a 162 game season, that kind of play will end up winning the West Division. Houston also has the best run differential in their division. Right now, the Astros just can't string wins together for whatever reason. I just think in time, this current play will pay off and get enough wins to win the division. Now if Houston was playing in the other two divisions, they definitely would need to up their game some to make playoffs.

Yep I saw UTRGV and SELA on the bubble. HCU went through the tournament without a loss after the weekend they were bombed at Lamar with 2 10-run rule games. Interesting season though. It is kind of nice to have so many highly rated teams in our conference.
