  15. Slot T is not football. It does not translate to a college program and definitely not to the pros. I realize most of these athletes will not go to college or pro but this type of football it is hard to keep athletes interested. Slot T is the dinosaur in Texas football 3A or higher and the only thing it is good for is encouraging kids to go straight baseball or basketball. The coaches that coach it are not adaptable in most cases to. IMO I don't see why a kid would want to run right and left all the time knowing they are going to get pounded all game long.

  19. PN-G Fans (Or others from out of area coming to the game)- Most of the restaurants are west of downtown--and the stadium--since the stadium is only a couple hundred yards from the bayfront. I usually recommend people coming early in the day if they can and make an afternoon & evening of it. That way you avoid the traffic on 10 (even 73 was getting bad before we retired) 146, and the Fred Hartmann Bridge. Come early and spend a few hours at the San Jacinto Monument and help support it. (Remember, La Porte is where Texas won Independence from Mexico.) It, and the Monument Inn listed below are only about 15-20 minutes from the stadium, and make for a great few hour trip. The museum is really fun if you enjoy history as a proud Texan. San Jacinto Battlefield Monument | Discover San Jacinto After that, eat at The Monument Inn. If a southern seafood fan, it's hard to beat. Eat a late lunch there, then you'll be ready for the game with plenty of time to park, etc. You can always get another snack at the game and help us pay for that sucker! lol [Hidden Content] Other places to eat that we recommend besides all the normal chain fast food places: Southern Komfort Kitchen - Rustic Steakhouse & Bar | La Porte, TX | Southern Komfort Kitchen Redesign El Ranchero Mexican Restaurant: (Tommy Taco Dinner is excellent. Get them 'all the way'.) - Mexican Food, Breakfast Tacos, Homemade Tortillas in La Porte, TX King's BBQ (Excellent stuffed Spud) Kings BBQ Chili's Chili's Grill & Bar There's also a Walk-On's Sports Bar & Bistreaux if that's your preference. La Porte Locations | Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux 568 There are other good places that I haven't mentioned. These are just a few. Of course, there's always the normal Whataburger, Popeye's, McD's, Burger King, Wingstop. Denny's, Hartz Chicken, DQ, Kentucky Fired Chicken, Waffle House, Subway, Taco Bell, etc.

  23. Also wanted to put this here in the district thread, straight off DCTF: Picks: Positive number = Points Favored; Negative Number = Points Opponent is Favored; PK = Push; NP = No Pick. Also again I've seen computer projections different than the point spread on team pages. Seen some folks on different sites confused by it.
