It wasn’t Gore, but I believe we had a couple islands capsize. The left is so imaginative.
-
ALGore has been so wrong! From AlGore: In January 2006, while promoting An Inconvenient Truth, Al Gore warned that humanity had only about 10 years left to act decisively on climate change — or the planet would face catastrophic, irreversible damage (described by critics as turning Earth into a "scorching" "frying pan" with life totally unlike what we knew). I can't imagine even you would believe his claptrap! Or did you? One thing for sure it never happened!
-
They pull that on anyone of note who speaks out about environmental degradation. Started with Al Gore. The Right is so imaginative.

We cant compare games to practice...games are much easier and less strenuous than practice....I was told by an AT that 95% of heat related issues take place during practice. Games have built in breaks much moreso than practice If we are talking about varsity football games start in the evening....WGBT won't be an issue at 7pm if its an issue for freshman/JV games then push start time back a bit or play Sat AM the hand wringing is typical anytime something new happens...coaches will adapt and adjust just fine

I believe once your in the "red". Maximum practice time is 1 hour, and no protective equipment can be worn. No conditioning either, but be ready to compete in a game the next day even if it's hotter.

His point of view is spot on. His most striking observation to me is how the media strives to keep us divided. It’s all about clicks and eyeballs, i.e. money. We fall unwittingly into camps and the politicians take advantage. All national news outlets are guilty. Erosion of our confidence in institutions was for years the Soviets’ primary intelligence goal. We did it to ourselves in 10 years. Listen to that Marine!

District 9-5A D1 Thread 2026/2027

Bruce Bradshaw Stadium (West Rusk) was named the Best High School Stadium in Texas 2026 by fan voting. Bulldog Stadium in La Porte was Runner-Up. My understanding is that Bruce Bradshaw Stadium was the initial field for Friday Night Lights as the first stadium in Texas to host a game under lights. Pretty historic stadium. Bulldog, on the other hand, is probably the most modern, immersive high school stadium--technology wise--that currently exists, from the total surround sound, lighting, effects, video & banner screens, and other modern amenities. Bradshaw is historic. Bulldog is an experience. Both are well deserving of the accolades. -

I sure am glad being a liberal isn’t a cult. They hate everybody that doesn’t agree with them, even if it’s proven false. I’d say that’s the attitude that allows a Hitler type to gain power. It’s already been conquered by the communists and Islamist, or Islamist/communist like Mamdani, but never fear, hating Trump will make everything hunky dory. Keep beating the drums without a candidate or policy, and keep after the sexual perversion that is the Democratic Party.

10am and we're in the red... "2-hour max practice time. Players are restricted to helmet, shoulder pads, and shorts" Coaches around the state are monitoring their current conditions and will adjust as always. No real threat of missing practice in November December because of this. Hopefully they'll be smart and get the work in early.

Like him or not, George McGovern may have said it best. "I'm fed up to the ears with old men dreaming up wars for young men to die in." As I've said before, the impersonal nature of war today is a very dangerous thing. Leaders should be held accountable where young men and women aren't sacrificed needlessly. Especially when that sacrifice comes from a modern weapon that is sent by a faceless adversary who merely pushes a button. Yes. There are 'just wars.' But, there should be some serious soul-searching by those who can--sometimes--remain unaccountable because of autonomous weapons.

The part about being lied to and being misled was referring to the people in Iraq they were working with when he was with his unit in Iraq in 2007. Current admin was still selling realestate at that time. BTW, current admin is dealing with Iran, not Iraq. I don't always agree with my friend on things but I think his perspective here is well thought out and comes from experience and his heart.

Similar to many--I daresay most--who have served in similar situations. These situations happen all over the globe, and many never see the light of day either because they are considered clandestine, or they accomplish their objectives with no negative mission press. Whether the situation involves a major campaign, smaller insurrections, drug cartels, or other objectives classified as 'National Security threats', those fulfilling the mission are always questioning their role. They will continue to do so until they take their last breath. I would say his thoughts are not uncommon.

He obviously disagrees with the current administration on how to handle Iraq. Would he feel different if they built a Nuclear weapon and nuked an Army base? -
I’m sure the upcoming football season will work out fine despite these new rules and people yelling at clouds shaking their fist…

This should really get your blood boiling. [Hidden Content] Overview Google: The Trump administration announced plans to end a federal subsidy program that kept Medicare Part D prescription drug premiums low. Eliminating the $3.6 billion program after 2026 could raise monthly costs for millions of older Americans. All sides are out for themselves but MAGA has selective outrage. SMH. Sanders is not a Democrat just like MAGA (PPP)is not Republican.
