Just because Dems are at an all-time low approval doesn’t mean the voters will switch Parties, and it doesn’t guarantee Republicans will show up to vote Republican. I’m reading a great number of both Parties are moving Independent. Texas will lose as many seats as California if illegals aren’t counted. I want less government intervention—from either Party.

Even if D.C. would eventually become a state, that would be offset by those fleeing NY, etc. and moving to red FL, TN, and TX. Red states will gain while NY, CA, IL, etc. will lose electoral votes. That "could" happen, but you never win by waiting on what may or may not happen in the future. Much of what Trump has done has been codified into Law. Its not so easily reversed. In any case, it would take a sea change for that. The Dims poll about 19%, and right now its conceivable that the Republicans could even add in the mid term. Appeasement never works with the radical Dims. They are the sole reason reconciliation is now the norm in Federal budgeting. The Republicans played nice far too long then the Dims went too far. That group has been good since little league lol and you are right they did dominate as freshman. Heck they still dominated missing a few kiddos that got moved up to varsity. If that group all continues to play and stays healthy... they should be able to make some loud noise when their seniors. I think this year a majority of those kids will be on varsity as sophomores. Not expecting too much out of Vidor this year but the next year and the year after should be pretty exciting.

Also, as I mentioned to you in your thread about this, the next time Dems have control of Congress & POTUS, it only takes a simple majority to accept DC as a state. BANG! Two more Senators, at least one Representative, and electoral votes that will be 100% Democratic. Dems won’t have to gerrymander more states. They’ll just create new ones. Trump is giving them the ammo—so to speak. The Guard wasn’t needed. Do what needs to be done with law enforcement available. Reorganize. Ramp up. Just not with the Guard.
