Pretty much what the non-district games are for is figuring out what works and doesn't and adjusting and getting the right personnel in place. There have been years that Ned was 0-3 in district and went three rounds deep in the playoffs. They have a pretty tough non-district so they are getting some good experience against other good teams in the area.

Excited to see this game tonight, and get the season kicked off at Bulldog! I know the offense will score some points. But, I'm really hoping the defense is closer to LP norms, and a lot better in the secondary. They're going to be put to a big test. The people who know the players better than me seem to be pretty upbeat about this season. This game--to me--is really important for the D to step up. Sure hope they're not already looking to the Border Battle next week. If they are, Crawford's liable to embarrass them with the firepower they bring. From the interview with HIHSS, sounds like LP will have a couple kids who were good enough to start on Varsity as freshmen, got hurt and were out last year, that will be back this year.
