True, if not for Coach Sutherland making an effort to close the gap for some "respect" points - Hardin could have made it alot worse. 36-7 at the start of the 4th when the Hornets head coach pulled his DEF starters out of the game.

Seems like a lot of "firsts" for that program in Hardin

Talk about consistency...PN-G has been solid all season. Well coached, well prepared and then the players executing at a high level. This team has its own identity and is playing to its strengths. The offense can obviously score in multiple ways. The defense is creating opportunities with great effort and then capitalizing on those (pick 6, fumbles recoveries, stopping the offense on 3rd and 4th downs and making them punt...). The kicking game has shown some different kind of kick-offs, some fake field goal attempts, and just making some field goals and extra points at a high percentage. Just like was said before the season started, this offense may look a little different, and it does, in a good way. Lots of kids getting playing time, starters getting some rest and some new players beginning to emerge and make big plays. Let's stick to the process and continue to get better each week. I definitely see this team playing in December, and not just on the first weekend in December...

Montgomery Defense has been play pretty well, but secondary is not good, gives up to many big plays. Stopping #1, #12 and #8 will be a big task for the Lions. See this one as a high scoring rivalry game withe the Lions pulling the upset

Not sure. Hopefully, they just held him out as a precaution on the short week. He really adds another explosive speed dimension to the rushing attack. Plus, he's a Captain for the D as LB. LP had quite a few on the sidelines. I'd have to go back and look at TL. But, I think I saw 7 or 8. I heard they had some ready to come back in soon.

They should. They knocked off the 2 teams that would challenge them directly for the district title so at this time by default you could pencil them in as champs. The only 2 teams that I can see that would give them any trouble at this point before playoffs is Coldspring and possibly Buna.

All jokes aside, Hardin is no joke this year.

Simon is an incredible talent. No one defender will get him on the ground. Love his physical style of running. If he has to, he can make you miss, but he'd rather just run right through you...and he can do it. Status on Ruffin? Another big time player.

A country full of hard workers…. imagine that.

Even though Jones didn't get into the endzone last night, he made some really tough runs. But what sets him apart from most players is how well he plays at linebacker. He was very instrumental on that side of the ball as well. Tough hard nosed player who routinely puts himself in position to make a play every play. Like I said, district MVP.

Hardin has really good size on the Oline but EC is pretty light defensively. The advantage was greatly shown last night. Hardin basically played "bully ball". Several "tush pushes" last night as well.

I'm telling you guys, if Jones stays healthy, Hardin is going to have the best season in the history of their program. Anytime a coach who runs this offense is able to match it up with the proper personnel, it's a real problem at all levels. Hardin will not have an issue until they match up with a team who can scheme to stop this offense and make them play defense more than 5-6 times a game. From where I am sitting, it may be 2-3 rounds deep before they find that type of competition. On a side note, Jones is an absolute baller. Stud.

Back to government shutdown…..

I imagine this year will be special.. Depending on matchups they can make a deep run… There will be a few teams in the region that will be able to slow down that offense…

How large is Hardin's OLine? 1 poster mentioned a massive size difference in EC and Hardin upfront. EC is often a bit undersized on the d-line, but the claim was a 100 lb differential. Hyperbole or pretty accurate?
