  1. Past hour
  2. Moore and Petry are already done for the night.
  3. HJ first team with another score. Coach Bass told me he will play lots of backups after these first 10 plays with the first teams.
  4. Did the D1 blue chipper move from South Houston to Shadow Creek because of the 6-point difference between the schools’ TEA report cards or was it the 8-win difference between the football teams… I guess we’ll never know 🙄
  5. Then we’re toast. The thieves do not want to stop stealing. We don’t have a revenue problem, we have spending/thieving problem. It can be fixed. No one can run their business or household spending 2 trillion dollars more a year than they take in each year. Have emergency session and start cutting line by line. DOGE had it figured out but this administration was too weak to see it through. Elon said he would be killed if he revealed a lot of what he knows about the spending of our government.
  6. But looking at these two teams, HJ is by far the better team. I think the Hawks could score much more if they wanted to. This scrimmage is the epitome of a controlled scrimmage.
  7. Actually, other than that first play, Kountze defense played well.
  8. HJ scores on first play of scrimmage
  9. Kountze and HJ numbers: Kountze with 20 suited out HJ with 46
  10. Agree here. Defense was horrible last year. Corners and safeties getting burned regularly, linebackers misplaying plays constantly, and on the offensive side, pretty much didn't have any receiver threat at all.
  11. I disagree. Nederland whines and complains when their football team is no good, but when a coach brings in something to improve it , baseball parents get all huffy worrying about Little Johnny and ruins it.
  12. Replying to your own post. 😂😂😂 Our debt and deficit has steadily grown since the day I was born. Same as the cost of living. I don’t agree with it but I’ve accepted it. We are in too deep. No one can or will fix it.
  13. Today
  14. Take out 2020 COVID year this is the lowest drop since March 1976.
  15. Based on the young man’s X account, LP made the correct call on checking the box for review. He obviously didn’t fit into the LP mantra of ‘One Team, One Heartbeat’ anyway based on this situation. But, his individual athletic skills will be missed. Not sure he’ll get any more looks at Shadow Creek than he would’ve at La Porte. LP has been crawling with D1 recruiters.
  16. I hate to say it but I think this season is over. Eovaldi on the IL and deGrom going for imaging will pretty much shut the door on any chances.
  17. Correct. Hardin lost their QB on the 4th play of the scrimmage. Back up wasn't able to play due to being injured a few days before.
  18. Here's Shadow Creek's report card from the TEA [Hidden Content]
  19. There was actually a DEC on the LaPorte kid, but the DEC approved him....thats the process No DEC on the South Houston kid....they didnt check any boxes so there was no hearing
  20. ^Razorback fan
  21. I'm wishing them the best.. honestly.. but I fear there's a, "we did (blank) last year so this year's gonna be awesome" situation. Unfortunately, sometimes it's learned the hard way that personnel matters. But even still.. the blame will be placed everywhere else. That's usually how it goes in the world of sports.
  22. I watched this scrimmage last night. A couple of things stood out. Above all else, HF has a really good QB. He made lots of big time throws. The next thing that stood out was that Huffman did not give many reps to their top weapons. The RB Bacon (has an offer from Lamar) only had about 3 carries one of which was a 70 yd sprint to the end zone. His younger brother that plays WR (has offers from at least 4 D1 schools) played limited reps as well. They are a totally different team when they are on the field. When they weren't, it looked sloppy. HF got the best of Huffman's starters, but the backups really got beat bad. At least 4 of those TDs were against them. I'm curious to see how it looks when it's for real.
  23. Katy/Cy Fair ISD Tournament Bellville 2 Cy Lakes 1 (22-25,25-18,25-15) Klein Collins 2 Bellville 0 (25-17,25-11)
  24. Jones might be leaving an even bigger hole on the defensive side. I think relatively competitive is reasonable, but they're only contending for second, and only because Barbers Hill got their second "not for athletic reasons" quarterback transfer in two years.
