  5. Yes. Dr. Murphy, the new principal of MHS. She’s awesome!
  6. Another funny face. How cute. Have you become senile? Did you catch a sniff of chemicals all the way in S.C.?
  7. Known this for years. Stop worrying about Texas. We take care of our own.
  8. AI Overview The complaint about chemical releases in Port Arthur, Texas, is most notably associated with Hilton Kelley, a prominent local environmental activist and a recipient of the Goldman Environmental Prize. Hilton Kelley, who returned to his hometown of Port Arthur in 2000, became a leader in the movement to address severe industrial pollution. His anti-pollution campaigns focused on documenting high levels of air contaminants and elevated rates of medical problems, such as asthma and cancer, among local residents living near facilities like the Motiva and Valero refineries and the Oxbow calcining plant. Key aspects of the complaints and related events involving "Kelly" or "Kelley" include: Citizen Air Monitoring: Hilton Kelley established the Community In-power and Development Association (CIDA) and trained residents to monitor air quality and log symptoms related to odors. He noted the irony of citizen monitors having equipment while Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) officials investigating complaints were empty-handed. Specific Incidents and Chemicals:Kelley has complained about specific releases, such as the Motiva refinery upset in 2003 which released tons of contaminants including hexane and butane. He also noted "six or seven flares going at one time" during pollution events in February 2021, emphasizing that "there is no safe amount of benzene for human exposure". Legal and Regulatory Action:Complaints led by community groups, including some possibly involving an attorney named Kelly Haragan, resulted in the EPA agreeing to investigate the Texas air regulator for alleged racial bias in its rulings related to the Oxbow plant. Health Impacts: Jenny Kelly, an administrative director at a local hospital, commented in 2024 on the respiratory issues and anxiety experienced by patients following a separate air release incident in nearby West Orange.
  9. Check that cause Jamal had shoulder surgery and missed the first 2-3 games that year. I don’t think we had him back yet. That’s the same year we met Katy in rd 3
  10. I’d stick hot nails in my eyes first! I did give my daughter an unbiased choice and she chose memorial
  11. I dont know bout them. But ours isnt exactly perfect either. One block from a WOS school is LC-M district.
  12. I live in Port Neches, but I send my kids to SOC.
  13. Today
  14. This makes me feel better. I've lived in Orange most of my life and still get headaches when I try to figure out the city lines/school zones for Port Arthur, Nederland, Port Neches, & Groves lol.
  15. ^^^ Tickets are available
  16. Yeah, Stepp said they have 8 returning starters on defense. It's gonna be hard rock mining!
  17. Of the 3 rookie coaches to make it to state that season he's the only one to win it all. PNG's Joseph went back and won in year 2. College Station Coach Stoney Pryor has lost in 3rd round 3 straight years. China Spring had 2 playoff wins since the championship and back to back 8 loss seasons.
  18. Of course they are being released. This is what people with mental illness' do!
  19. First of all, again, these are not your words. You need to state the source and give them credit. Second, this is no doubt a really bias hit piece. You can tell because of "environmental justice" part. What the heck does that mean anyway? All these supposed things that are being released into the air, "Daily Exposure: Residents report constant chemical odors, affecting daily life and increasing illness" I think was stated here, drive around any refinery and let us know if you smell anything. Also if you see any flares blowing? You might see a little fire but that's normal with no smell.
  20. I wish Kayde Dotson would've come home when he left New Mexico after last season. He's getting meaningful minutes and contributing for Loyola Chicago as a sophomore, and starting a few games.
  21. Cards were 2-27 4 years ago, 9-22 the year after that. 19-14 in 2024, 20-13 last season. This year they're 5-3 and probably should've beaten a big 12 opponent.
  22. By “the right guy,” I mean someone who can get the kids back that chose not to play. Whoever they hire isn’t walking in and winning a state or even a district championship right away. Right now, it’s about getting kids back on the field and rebuilding the program. They had the opportunity to bring Larry Upshaw back, but they passed on it. The program is so far down that it’s not about winning games at this point it’s about winning the kids.
  23. It wasn't nothing empty on PAM side. That was awesome of there Principal. Way to show your support.
