I think we need to get back to being one of the more physical teams in the area, which has been lacking especially on the lines. People have been getting in the way more than they push people and affect plays. Once that changes, I think we'll improve quickly.

O line and D line

Yes I know Jeff retired, for the current coach I’d say this year tells a lot. The narrative has been that they were young, well at the end of the season if it hasn’t improved then that excuse is gone and it might be time to look for a new direction.

As a Vidor graduate that suffered through some awful years I’ll just say coaching does matter. Jeff Mathews and his staff came in and made a program that kids avoided into something to be proud of. Made a program that has one of the worst record in the area into a tough game for any opponent that has a decent record and did it while coaching class and holding his kids to a high standard. Could Vidor be better maybe, but they have also been much worse and for town where 1 player every 10-15 years has a larger college offer character, integrity and mental toughness seem more important.

We’ll have to wait and see. Seems a little off to have three baggies of drugs sitting on dash with the law in pursuit.

Did you watch any Vidor game last year or are you just basing everything off records alone?

Because Vidor is always loaded with athletes. No reason why they should not be winning.

Vidor needs a new coach from outside the district , not one that's is placed into that position by the former coach who is his best friend. He's just there to build up his retirement, no desire to change it up. If it's not working then it's not working and their record proves that is not working. Vidor should be able to do better in this district than they have been doing but the ship continues to sink deeper and deeper !

The top 2 are easy. It will be a battle for 3,4 between lake creek, kingwood park, Porter and west fork.

Still being researched, we don't know if it was poor decision or right decision. All I know is when the lights come on behind me, I pullover and turn my vehicle off, roll my windows down, take my wallet out and put my hands on the wheel....... If I get shot, it will be so obvious it was the cops fault, there will be no need for research.

Smart decision

Slight lean in favor of Montgomery due to RB Keldrid Ben. He's not the biggest, fastest, or most elusive RB, but defenders just bounce off of him. You are not going to arm tackle him. Even when a defender puts a good hit on him, you better bring some friends to get him on the ground. He can take a hit, keep his balance, and keep going.

It was a lot, they keep teams in the game lot longer than they should because of these penalties…

Unless Channelview were to vastly improve, just like Jasper might. If Jasper only slightly improves off of 2-8 and 1-4, it wont matter just like your example of Channelview slightly improving. What I am saying is, it really doesn't matter who improves, as long as someone does, then it in turn benefits the others. So Jasper itself is not unique. Playing a stronger schedule is what really matters. I am all for that.

Probably not fair to judge the whole ICE program by a couple of poor officer decisions. Just like cops, a couple of poor decisions doesn’t make the police bad.
