I saw that there will be a district meeting concerning an altercation at last weeks game.  Just wondering what happened?

It's very possible that each team will have to play their JV in each others game tomorrow night. Every player on both teams left the bench and participated in the brawl.

This is actually the third incident for Woden this season. Second for Joaquin.

Wow sounds like both teams should possibly be shut down for the year.

TIme the #$%@ out. Woden vs Joaquin in a Brawl! Who cares?? Aint nobody pressing charges. Just some good ol boys scrapping. NOTHING WRONG. There aint a police force in either town to make an arrest. As long as none of the local livestock was damaged its all good.

Woden was declared the winner of the game.

Wow.  Small world.   That DEC chair who is the sup at Tenaha went to a rival of HS of my own.   Ended up kicking/punting at Ok St. and punting for 4 or 5 years for the Falcons.   Could shoot the rock in hoops (they won state his jr year) and was a heckuva golfer.

Decision from 22-2A DEC meeting. Woden declared winner. 

 

For Woden: 3 players got 2 game suspensions and 3 got 1.

 

For Joaquin: 4 players got 2 game suspensions and 2 players got 1.

 

Players given 1 game suspensions for leaving bench and 2 games for punches thrown

Man - so much I want to say on this but i’m afraid my views are too old-fashioned.  Basically, there were very MINIMAL consequences, and they just set a precedence.  We wonder why no one wants to get into the referee business - look no farther.

For multiple incidents this season for both teams, I would have expected some team penalties to have occurred.

Woden is tough and physical in their style!!! I wanted to fight them in Huntington!!! I remember one particular trip we had 3 players knocked down by "hips", "checks" and an "incidental"  I can see someone playing them frequently wanting to fight!!! JMO

Woden has been in a few scuffles this season. It’s really sad to see such a good team destroy themselves by such acts, I’m not really sure what’s going on over there but imo the suspensions should have been much more harsh. I’ve watched woden 3 times this year and everytime there was something unsportsmanlike by them throughout the game, it’s a difference between hard and physical basketball and just flat out dirty

Sounds an awful lot like a team Big Sandy faced in the playoffs a few years ago.  It was neither of these two.
