High school football season kicks off this week. Here is my schedule for Week 1:

 

Thursday

Nederland at Beaumont West Brook         pregame meal, Papadeaux's

Friday

West Orange-Stark at Newton                  pregame meal, Cedar Tree in Jasper

Saturday

Abilene Christian at Lamar                       pregame meal at tailgate (menu for this game is pork a bobs and wings)

10 plus years out of coaching and have seen 2 or 3 regular season games the entire time. All changes this year with a sparkle and glitter daughter on the sidelines.  Yippie, I say with absolutely no enthusiasm. 

HF hosting LaMarque for me at what will be the first of what I fear is quite a few Thursday and Friday nights messing my MLB TV.  Kinda looking forward to it, but don't tell my child!
