FearTheSpear Posted 23 hours ago Report Posted 23 hours ago I married into the whole purple cult thing and genuinely love it but Iāve for a few questions. Ā The city line and school district lines are so confusing. Ā Youāve got a lot of Port neches homes that are Nederland school district, a part of Groves that is PA school district, etc. Ā Iāve heard numerous PN citizens opposed to apartments, etc, things to expand the enrollment of our school. Ā While I donāt agree with open enrollment, itās hard to grow when thereās limited space for people to move to. Ā Ā Is it an old way of thinking? Ā Is it people who are stuck in their ways and donāt want to grow? Ā It almost feels like āwe gotta keep the trash outā mentality. Ā Hopefully Iām wrong. Ā Ā Coming at it from a football perspective, it would do them some good to gain about 200 kids and move up to D1. Ā It would make sense logistically. Ā Iām not trying to start any bs, itās just something thatās been on my mind. Ā Quote

Likely to either stay in the same classification or drop down as schools around them grow. Just part of it.Ā Quote

This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up I use to work with maps while working for the Jefferson Co apraisal district back when it was off 39th St in Groves many moons ago.Ā My understanding is it was the county lines, then the school district lines.Ā Un-incorporated areas became cities and that's why you have city boundaries not matching the school district's lines.Ā Also, neighborhood developers just build in an empty field not really paying attention to school district lines unless they will use it as a selling point.Ā But to your initial question:Ā that whole area between 365 and Jimmy Johnson is a cluster but I remember when all of that was rice fields 1970, BMTSoulja1, outanup and 1 other 3 1 Quote

Ā I lived in a apartment complex on Jimmy Johnson, not far from Twin City Hwy a long time ago which is PA city limits but a couple of the sections up front were in PNGISD and the others were PAISDā¦CRAZINESS!! Ā They did some rezoning in that area years ago so that one is all PAISD now but I think a couple of the complexes closer to Twin City are still PNGISD. Ā BMTSoulja1 1 Quote
FearTheSpear Posted 19 hours ago Author Report Posted 19 hours ago Thanks for the clarification, Iām even more confused now šš. Ā Itās a complete mess. Ā As far as football goes, they should just opt up. Ā Road games wouldnāt be a 3 hour drive and the talent gap between D2 and D1 is minimalĀ Quote

She was just a couple of houses from going to Nederland, and we may have never met.Ā As far as apartments, there may be one or two new ones, but what I see are new RV parks springing up all over, although there may not be a lot of school children there.Ā Eventually IMO PNG and Nederland both will drop down to 4A.Ā Quote
