Center would love that TrojanWarrior08 1 Quote

This is correct. Both district were just 5 team districts. Only played 4 district games. Had to play 6 non district games. Was a coaches nightmare filling non district schedule. 4 teams went to playoffs out 5 teams. Quote
Peppermint Patty Posted 23 hours ago Report Posted 23 hours ago GCCISD Sterling - 2,202 Goose Creek Memorial - 2,122 Lee - 1,773 This should put them all in 5A and I assume they will opt Lee up to D1. OlDawg and Separation Scientist 2 Quote

Do you know if there was any consideration given to simply playing an 8 game district schedule? A home and home set up though not remotely the norm in football could have been utilized. Curious in case the same situation were to occur. At that time weren't the other 2 districts in the region a 4 and 5 team district? I think this lead to WOS facing an 0-10 team at home for a 1st round playoff game. Could be wrong though. Quote

I would think our district will be these six definitely then: Port Arthur Memorial Beaumont West Brook Beaumont United Baytown Sterling Baytown Lee* GCM And then possibly could throw La Porte and Crosby in there or add the New Caney schools... How can the bulk of Humble go to Reg 2 when they are in district 23 5A? I know the UIL has their shortcomings when it comes to map reading, etc but to move them from Reg 3 to 2 is on some Copperfield/David Blane type ish lol Quote

If GCM (and Sterling in the past) had to get pummeled in that district every week, then New Baytown should get a taste of that too. What's good for the goose is good for the eagle.
