1970 Posted yesterday at 02:43 PM Report Posted yesterday at 02:43 PM Buna lost to EC by one score, so they might hang with Hardin for a bit. Maybe longer if they play defense better than EC. I watched most of the game last Thursday, and Hardin lined up for a tush push or similar almost every play. No wide receivers or any receivers, pretty much 11 guys bunched up in a scrum all night, and the EC d-line was on it's own. The DBs and LBs stayed back and watched until it was too late. Maybe Buna will figure it out or maybe not, but they better have a few kids that like to fight because the Hardin kids throw punches, literally. It'll be a long night for Buna I'm thinking unless they can keep the clock running. Quote
TxAthlete409 Posted yesterday at 03:16 PM Report Posted yesterday at 03:16 PM I seen DCTF has moved Hardin into the number 10 spot. Keep up the hard work. It should be atleast the second round before they see a DL that can hold up against their OL. Would be nice to see at least one team from the district move to the second round or even further . Quote

It was a one sided domination for basically the whole game. But it's understandable why one would think what you said. Quote

But the bottom line is that Buna, and anyone else, is going to have their hands full with Hardin, they're a tough playing ball team. Quote
TxAthlete409 Posted yesterday at 06:32 PM Report Posted yesterday at 06:32 PM Didn't mean to Hi-Jack the thread. That being said I'm taking Buna by 2 points. Because I like an underdog story LOL. Quote

I told someone this week that a team from our 3A district will win at least a first round game and Hardin is going to break the ongoing "0-fer" 3A drought. I love their smash mouth style that I read about. Their physical play can strengthen this weak district. That's needed to advance. Go Hardin! bullets13, TrojanWarrior08 and TxAthlete409 3 Quote

If it's one team that's definitely going to win their Bi-District round it will be Hardin for sure. After that it gets tough. Quote

Westwood - lost to state champion Columbus in the second round 28-48 2. Diboll - eliminated by Franklin in the second round 14-31 3. Teague - eliminated by Hitchcock in the second round last year 14-56 4 Fairfield - lost to Yoakum in the second round 26-56 Obviously, we know that Hardin played Westwood and had the lead late in the 4th and pretty much the whole game, before Westwood pulled away in the last few minutes. These will probably be the same four teams, but not telling how 2-4 seeds will end up. Somebody a lot smarter than me may can shed some light into District 9. Quote
