Also, there were other changes but you only watch(barely) one position sure did and EVERYTHING i said was true about Jones. Martin is my blood and he should not be playing QB. What made it work those last 2-3 games was nobody had film on him playing qb. He also didn't look like he was scared so yeah he was a breath of fresh air. i question every game this year. The only reason Morgan won't get blown out and the breaks beat off him is because the other schools lost a lot of talent Quote

Silsbee 1st team scored 3 rushing TD's and 1 passing TD. Orangefield had lots of trouble running on the Silsbee defense. Silsbee run game looked very solid. Tiger secondary will have to improve. Lot's of blown coverages. With no contact on the QB, it is hard to assess how the Silsbee QB will be. Many times he could have tucked and ran with it and they never really ran a read option due to the no contact. I think he will bring a dynamic to that position that Silsbee has not had since the Jeremy Johnson and Patrick Reed days. Dontre Thomas as well Quote

The Jasper game is one I remember the most. Quote

West Brook dominated the scrimmage and scored 6 total tds. I am assuming that the Nederland first team offense played for one quarter against the WB first team defense. Then they swapped. The second teams came on and did the same. Then the one quarter game conditions… kind of. If that’s what I watched, only the WB second team obviously had more depth. What I am assuming were the first teams played fairly even although it was so highly regulated it was hard to tell. It seemed like anyone within about 5 feet of the quarterback was considered a tackle but they called it for both teams. It is better to be safe in a practice. Quote

Both teams had nine poss. WB scored on 6 of them and NED scored once. WB pulled everyone and NED scored on the backups. WB first team went up and down the field. So did the second team. NED first team offense didn't score against WB first team defense in any portion. You are correct that 2nd team vs 2nd team was worse due to the lack of depth for NED. NED will be just fine but WB was too fast and deep tonight. Quote

I heard the live portion, first teams of each, and before it was called, it was 7 - 7. During this portion they were basically evenly matched. Quote

In this "live portion" WB got the ball scored and the starters took their pads off. LOL NED HC walked across the field and both coaches agreed to end the scrimmage. Go look at last yr remarks about the scrimmage. I believe this "live portion" NED scored once but we all saw that NED beat up on WB. No one made excuses that it was closer. 6 tds to 1tds. That's not evenly matched. Quote

That's not evenly matched. Well, maybe they sat out on the offense. But I understand Ned scored on WB's 1st defense to make it 7 - 7. Also, in a scrimmage, you work against an opponent to get ready for the season. You don't scrimmage to prove a point. So, you are saying the Ned coach walked across the field and wanted to end the scrimmage? I heard it was weather related (lightening). Plus, I said they were evenly matched during the live portion. Can anyone confirm or deny what ferrett is saying? @navydawg31 @tvc184 Quote
