Well Nederland with Neumann, PNG with Joesph or faircloth all of them that was their first head coaching gig and they turned out alright. Gotta take a chance sometimesĀ

Yes but all those guys had OC/DC experience before being hired as a AD/HF

It is a big jump from a positions coach to a 5A AD/HF at a school like Nederland.

I guess he has 7 years to figure it out.............

But it's a position coach at one of the top 6A schools in Texas I think Coach Rich will be fine he's already made changes at Nederland that was much neededĀ

I believe Coach Rich before being at Katy for the past 8 years as QB coach and redzone play caller I thought I saw he was a OC at one of the ft bend schoolsā€¦?Ā

Every time an assistant is hired, there's a 50-50 chance with that hire.Ā  Because there's not any history there.Ā  Just because you come from a successful program doesn't always translate to the same success you had as an assistant.Ā  It's a whole different ball game when you are now in charge of the whole show.Ā  Same was the case with Buchanan, Surratt, Ethridge, Briles, and G. Wood.Ā  But they did succeed.Ā  But that'll only work out about 10% of the time.Ā  That's if a State Title is your goal.Ā  PNG hit the jackpot.Ā  They found a good one.Ā  Let's hope Nederland's hire can match that success!Ā Ā

I think Ethridge came from a new mexico HS that had a couple of state championships.

InWell he was vetted by some football savvy guys. Ā If they didnā€™t think heā€™s got what it takes he wouldnā€™t be there. Ā Nothing in sports is certain but so far so good in my opinion. Ā

You hope so.

My point is that you would think at least 1 of your top two guys would have some coordinator experience at a school like Nederland.

As long as the Dawg pound is happy everybody should be happy........

For the past 7 years Nederland had as their HC a former OC.Ā  He was a glorious failure.Ā  So...

    • I recall prior to midterms the R's and the "red wave" would get America "back on track" etc.... they would end this and stop Biden from that blah blah blah, so what's the problem? It looks like a circus show from both sides and whoever can sit or stand with a straight face and defend it is a šŸ¤”! Desantis would've been a slam dunk for the R's and he possibly would've got my vote... now they pick a guy who lost the popular vote twice lol (yeah I know that means nothing in grand scheme of things).. point being is the dude is highly unlikeable (I also know this doesn't matter) šŸ‘ˆšŸ¾ just getting ahead of the deflectors... personally I hope the clown gets in there so ppl can see how ultra right the clown is trying to push America for... IF he wins in November you can bet he will be on a rampage for 4 years getting lil if anything done, will most likely spend his term for the same thing some of yall complain about daily, going after his opponents... but hey the D's do it right? So yeah it's cool if we do it SMH We're supposed to vote on policies etc while at the same time the person you vote for that made promises to change or fix this and that complains about his predecessor being the issue! It's all a joke What have R's done that's good for America since midterms?Ā  What have D's done? And please leave your feelings out of this and be truthful if possible!

    • It seems from what I have read, that Baton Rouge, LA has been split almost in half, with a new city called St. George being incorporated. Ā I think that St. George is an area of the city much like South Park is in Beaumont or Port Acres in Port Arthur.Ā  Apparently people living in the St. George area of the city wanted a new school district because of how bad the Baton Rouge school district was. When denied, they organized and voted to form their own city. After the vote passed to incorporate, Baton Rouge fought it in the courts which ended last week with the Louisiana Supreme Court ruling in favor of St. George. At least the way I read it, Baton Rouge just lost about 85,000 people (almost half) and about $50 million from their tax base. Baton Rouge probably should have let them start their own school districtā€¦. Ā  This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up
