Just a small bit of information for those who believed this would last forever. All it would take for WOS to lose this distinction is 11 games. WOS goes 0-11 and SLC goes 11-0. I don't think that's about to happen anytime soon. But it just shows how tight this race is becoming.

The peak was after the 40 game win streak. In 2017 when we beat Wimberley in the semis it was .807

Where are you finding those win/loss records?

I'm no sure that Drummer's math is on point.

WOS   440/109/3.... 0.7971

SLC   584/157/8.... 0.7797

I'm too lazy to math out how many games would actually have to be won/lost to make a percentage change to favor SLC, but last year the records were 5-6 to 13-1.  Since SLC has played so many more games than WOS over history, it's harder for SLC to gain ground by winning, but easier for WOS to lose ground by losing.  Another 5-6 season would have WOS at 445/158/8, or 0.790.

I don’t think it happens in two years, but three-four isn’t unrealistic.

Do the faithful have anything to say about the upcoming season? I was thinking that WOS graduated a bunch of starters, but you’d know better than me.

Had enough return last year to make a difference and as we all know it didn’t!Returning players are irrelevant unless scheme changes imo, hopefully something changes.

Year 2 will be very interesting. 2 things have to happen. Kids have to be learning the system. System has to be learning the kids. Coaches had their rookie learning curve. Now they know what didn't work. Should be easy.

I don't think year 2 will go like year 1, too much talent there.

If they spice up the turkey burgers it might be another special season 🤷🏾‍♂️😁

Jasper sits at the 87th spot on top win %.

596-358-30 = .6057

something isn't right though because we are listed as the #33 spot on all time win list with 663.

Both list say they are current thru the 2022 season.

I have found over the years that the more sites you visit on records, the more differences each show.

If I found two with the same numbers, I went with that.

No it's right. The numbers just don't line up on the win % list. Jasper is 10 up from the bottom of this list.

663-394-38 = .6055

I tend to use the site I linked, since it is using Joe Lee Smiths numbers and he was a known historian of the game and usually pretty accurate.

    • What the writer stated wrt crossover votes in the primary/runoff: "Covey and his supporters Paxton and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said Phelan only won because Democrats crossed over to vote in the Republican Primary for him. Paxton said Covey’s campaign identified “at least” 1,442 Democrats who voted early in Jefferson County in the primary runoff. However, only 5% of that group had voted in all four previous Democratic primaries. What Phelan’s opponents did not mention is historically Democratic Jefferson County is undergoing a political transition towards the Republican party — the county judge switched his affiliation to the GOP in 2017 — so many residents have a mixed primary voting history.
