Idk just relaying what I read. 🤷‍♂️

So its falsely claimed at several schools via athletic pages and/or banners throughout campuses because they don't get trophies for it?

I'm just saying I have never seen anything in a trophy case or school acknowledging a district championship for a JV or freshmen team. Seen plenty at the middle schools which I think are okay. Just not for sub varsity at the high schools.

I have no problem with stating a JV/9th team went undefeated or 9-1 or so on. But pretty sure district championships are not awarded to sub varsity teams. They are mostly self proclaimed by said school.

I think Vidor’s JV went undefeated in 20 & 21, yet here they are in second place.  It’s a good sign, but not a sure thing that a DC will emerge from those

A lot times what happens in High School Football depending on the size of the school is you’ll have injuries at the Varsity level an standouts on JV get pulled up to Varsity and Freshman get pulled up to JV to fill the holes. So your JV and Freshman teams are missing their keys players. So it’s hard to get a true barometer how good the JV and Freshman teams will be when they get to the Varsity Level. But it sure is a good sign for the lower class teams to win a lot of games for sure.

Good luck to you guys! My opinion is you guys shouldn’t have anyone challenge y’all till meeting Chapel Hill in the 3rd round.

And I’ll have a Raider shirt on when they meet - unless Pirates playing at same time.

I Don’t take anything for granted. I just look at the bracket and try to play it out.
Our road each week if able
Rd 1 Palestine
Rd 2 Stafford
Rd 3 Chappell Hill

I believe Kilgore will beat El Campo if they can get by LCM in Rd 1. Does Peevey still have that magic?

I also have faith that LCM can put together a game plan to compete and beat Kilgore!
I believe Vidor is capable against Lindale. Not the same Lindale without their QB from last year. And they do give up some points!!!

What happened to their quarterback? I thought he was a sophomore or junior.

You have more faith in LCM than i do. We have 3 injured starting lineman that have been out since Lumberton game. The problem with LCM offense is that we are missing Landry with him running the  zone read. Our current Qb is not pulling the ball and taking off. He's giving it morris every time. If we are going to do that might as well get in the wildcat. Defense wise we lost our linebackers and secondary  the youth showed this year. If Peevy beats Kilgore give that man a bonus.

House of Payne? Kid runs strong and can throw short passes. He brings the dymanic we are currently missing.

The current QB did have a few good runs against huffman but if he struggles passing and refuses to run, Peevey needs to think of his program. The CHill game last year would've been much closer if he had that mentality.

I am hearing we are back full steam for Kilgore as far as injuries go. Couple of kids from the undefeated JV and a certain freshman will be available. Heard he's a natural behind center.

Next year will be better. 😜

Undefeated JV and a one loss Freshman group.

Couple of very solid QB prospects and plenty of meat up front.

Another off-season with kids that have bought into the program. (400+ across all sports last summer in the gym)

Move-ins. (They occur naturally with success, a great educational environment  and a community that backs their program with facilities, attendance and their pocket book.)

Lcm has a top notch arts program… spray painting 101 is really paying off!

This is true. Huffman's freshmen team this year (which was not just undefeated in middle school they literally beat every team by an average of 45 points) managed to go 8-2 with out their top 8 players. Lost 2 to season ending injuries and 6 to Varsity.

Not much sparks up a team more when you have a qb refusing to go down and punishing on runs. Landry brought that fire. And #16 seems to have that mindset too

Yes, #16  should be starting and from what i understand he will be there next year. With him and the other big back will be a force next year

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
