Any news from the scrimmage

Just spoke with AAW who will be posting some stats later tonight or tomorrow.

First part of the scrimmage was controlled with each team having two 15 play sets.  Both Silsbee and Ozen each scored once during this phase of the scrimmage.

Afterwards, they played two live quarters which ended up Silsbee 28, Ozen 14.  Silsbee scored on all four of their drives during the live portion of the scrimmage.  Ozen scored on their first and last possessions.,

Silsbee first team scored 1 TD, Ozen first team scored 1 TD.

Silsbee second team scored 1 TD, Ozen second team scored 0 TD.

In the game situation Silsbee out scored Ozen 28-14. QB for Ozen is a good one, very dangerous when he turns the corner.

Silsbee's offense look good, our defense gave up some big plays but stiffened up when it had to.

Silsbee did take a big blow as the RB went down with a knee injury. Now it's time for the real fun to begin.

Brooks, 1st team RB. Looks like a torn ACL, out for season.

Silsbee was down to their 3rd and 4th string RB's after the first 10 plays of the controlled scrimmage. A. Thomas went down with a knee sprain. Desmond Armstrong had to take over the RB duties most of the night. He is also Silsbee's starting inside LB on defense.

Big blow to the Tiger running game losing Brooks for the season.

I will post my thoughts on this scrimmage some time tomorrow. But quite simply, Ozen never stopped Silsbee's offense all night. In both the controlled and live portions, Silsbee scored on every drive, 1st and 2nd teams. Silsbee never had to punt or even had a 4th down all night.

Tiger offense was very impressive tonight, particularly having to play 80% of the scrimmage without the 1st and 2nd team running backs.
