Does playing WOS in the regular season do anything for you in your opinion? Huffman has about 400 more kids than WOS does. Crosby will play 8 teams on the regular season schedule that have higher enrollments. They'll also scrimmage Willis next week who has an enrollment around 1850.

I think they're doing fine in the strength of schedule department. On the other hand Central has lost their last two bi-district games by a combined 47 points. Maybe they need to be the ones looking into a different way to prepare for the playoffs?

And since you want to bring up stats, I'll bring up one.  Central has NEVER lost to Crosby AND is 1-0 vs. Crosby in the playoffs....

And the same team that made most of that 47 point playoff difference, beat your boys as well.

There's only ever been one matchup in the schools' history. There could've probably been more but Central hasn't consistently made the playoffs since that matchup. When they have they usually go D1 due to their enrollment. There's a difference between losing by a TD in a tight game on the road and being humiliated by being down 40 after three quarters at a neutral site.

Wos always brings mentality , playoff attitude, speed,  physcality  and coaching to the table ! So they are a worthy opponent even if you are 6A  they expect to beat you . Huffman , no offense , does not bring that ! As far as talent Nederland has probably been more athletic than Central . Start with the meats , qb , rb , D , wideouts and it is a long list from there  over  the last 5 years plus arguably one of the best coaching staffs around . All this is why Crosby / Nederland games make good sense to see where you are . Good fans , schools , teams  and games .

Just like the Both humiliating losses in:

2006: 0 Dayton 35

2007: 7 Dayton 49

Both first rounders . Or a more recent one :

2013: 28 Elgin 56

A second rounder.

The even more embarrassing one was vs. Cedar Hill last year. But I'll give you a pass since you made it to the Simi final.....

Dayt had staff there, said Crosby looked very good, that is fact I talked w/them

I saw them there as well as Katy, Manvel, De La Salle, and Evangel. I hear they too were there to learn about Code and how to be physical. Also, for all u lacking in football IQ listen up, in my best AI voice, we're talking about a scrimmage, a scrimmage. Last time I looked that does not count As a win or loss in the standings so it's irrelevant, but Heaven forbid u come out of the scrimmage with a major injury then it comes back to bite you with possibly the questioning of why schedule a formidable opponent and not a so called powder puff like a Huffman, Central, or Vidor is pretty smart. Besides, ur 1's play maybe Only 20 snaps in a scrimmage and in Crosby These boys get a better matchup O vs D and tuneup playing inter squad :)  !!

    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
    • See why I don't trust my Hogs?
    • Come on dude, don’t take anything away from the kids on the field. If you want to talk uncharacteristic, we made what 3 or 4 errors in game one. Y’all had 2 EARNED runs.  Defense is normally our strong suit. Your ace didn’t strike out a single one of our kids. Like I said also, you did not out hit us in game 1. Hell you barley out hit us in game 2. We had all the uncharacteristic walks. Josh pitched a hell of a game is what made that game what it was.
