Post non-district schedules here

What about the district alignment? How does the UIL make district schedules? Do they draw from a hat? Seems like the past few years that the championship for each district was week 10. Was that just a coincidence or do they use some type of inner seeding? I.e the last two years of 21-3a was WOS/Silsbee in week 10 for the outright DC and if my memory serves correct, the other districts were the same scenario.

Coincedence

21-5A championship last year was PAM vs NS 2nd or 3rd district game.

I never knew that Humble and Kingwood had that kind of rivalry. Growing up I always heard about Humble and the Aldine schools. Kingwood and Atascocita have a fun thing going though, the cultures of the two schools are day and night. Anyway, it just upsets me that the SC and KP coaches can't fit the rivalry in their schedule when it was something that the kids from both schools get so pumped up about it. At least It will continue in basketball and baseball.

Oh you better believe it.   One of the last Humble-Kingwood games i went to was 2005 i believe, it was at the old turner stadium....and there was no where to sit.   I don't mean that all the good seating was taken up, i mean people were denied entrance by the fire marshall because they had exceeded capacity.    I had to park at the library and walked to the stadium.    I remember seeing people crowded around the chain-link fence surrounding the stadium.

It ended up being a pretty poor showing for Kingwood, i think the final score was 27-8.    It didn't seem to matter how good either team was, those games were always really entertaining.  Lots of energy in the building.  Lots of trash talking, and a lot of bragging rights on the line.    It was a fairly young rivalry when you look at some of the older ones across the state (midland-Odessa)...think the final head to head was 15-11 Humble's way.

The only Aldine ISD schools that Humble really ever considered a rival was Ike.  Aldine gave us some good games also.

Humble's Rivalries have come and gone.  Dayton and Huntsville use to be THE games, of course that was before my time.  But the old timers still talk about them.   Katy of course in the late 90's and early 00's.    But since Kingwood High School split off from Humble in the 80's and took the Forest Cove kids with them, it was pretty heated.

Times change though...nothing good last forever... except Christ that is...

Looks like EC's schedule is going to change. I infer from above that OF and H-J will not be playing EC this year, and I dunno about HF. Hope we don't lose the Rice Bowl! Anyone know who EC's new opponents will be?

Foster returns most of their players from last year, 7 or 8 on both sides of the ball.  Andrew Martel plays safety for Foster.  They were knocked out in the first round by Pearland Dawson.  They led at half 23 -14 and lost, I believe, 24 - 23.

I still cant believe they lost that game, smh......
