We had a great postman for a long time. He liked to stop and talk you're head off. When obviously you were waiting on something. But the new carrier, and I use that term loosely, is horrible. 5 times in the last six months, the USPS has allowed me to meet more of my neighbors. Either I get their mail, or they get mine. Wonder how many times they've just kept it. I switch to as much "paperless" as possible, but it still happens.

Here is a number you can call to confirm. Having worked in that position I would suspect it did not quite go like that. Of course the guy can shut his mouth and not answer any questions whatsoever and he has that right. My guess is that he opened his mouth and they easily were able to prove or suspected that he was lying. I have made some of my best arrest by people who agree to talk and it is not usually hard to prove that someone is lying even the side of the street. If there are two people and they agree to talk it is so simple to discover a lie, it’s almost like cheating. I was riding with a couple of Beaumont PD officers one time and they made an interdiction stop. A white male with Georgia license plates was heading eastbound in a pick up. The pick up was registered in his name. He agreed to talk and he gave some story about he left a week ago to go visit a friend in Houston and he was on the way back home. Then they start asking what his friends name was and all of a sudden he did not remember. They asked him where the friend lived so they can send Houston PD by the check and he did not remember that either. The officers would take turns talking to him while he was outside of his truck. He would talk freely with a little nervousness but every time an officer got near the tailgate he would lock up stiff as a board and shut up. It was almost comical. Walk a few feet away and he would loosen up and start talking again. Then the big question, do you mind us looking around your truck? The answer was no, I don’t mind. One of the officers looked under the truck and saw that the spare tire was brand new. It had no mud on it whatsoever and looked like it had just been mounted the day before. So then the follow up question. How long have you had this truck? He might’ve said two or three years. Have you had any flats? No. Are all of your tires original including a spare? Yes. Hmmmm…… Well……. The officer took the spare out from under the truck and rolled it down the side of the shoulder. For some reason it rolled faster at some spots and slower at some spots like there was something heavy inside. Then the tire was bounced a few times and we noticed part of the tire was more stiff in the other parts. The pickup was take him to the city garage about 3 miles away. The spare tire was opened and 6 kilos of marijuana popped out. If a person opens his mouth he decides to lie, it is not usually very hard to figure it out. At the Police Academy I have a allowed two cadets to go outside and make up any story that they wished. The premise was that they had just robbed someplace but they had time to get their stories together. I would give them as much time as I needed to make up the story. They could even write it down on paper if they wanted to. I would then bring one back in the class and question him. I would then have him leave the class and bring the other person in and question him in front of the other cadets. It was almost comical how quickly it was discovered that they were lying. It is because you cannot anticipate all the questions that will be asked. A person has the right to remain silent. If he gives up that write anything he says can and will be used against him in a court of law. I suspect in this case and going by the article, the guy decided he would talk, probably believing he could give a reasonable explanation to whatever they ask.

I know plenty of people who sold marijuana during my university years.. they never sold crack, starting pimping hoes, or did whatever crazy nonsense y’all talk about on here.. they’re all in relationships or married, have kids, work corporate jobs, etc etc.. a decade plus later Y’all need to go outside and stop believing everything the media tells you

I just found the screenshots... My take...Sometimes people have valid points, but they get lost in the delivery BECAUSE of biases. As someone who typically doesn't have a problem criticizing anybody regardless of the color of their skin, it SEEMS like the Dr. is speaking from a place of bias. I think that he hit upon some points that are valid, but whenever you start painting people with a broad brush, you're making a mistake. That's the kind of talk that I used to hear when I was younger from older people. It's okay to criticize Audwin Samuel.... He's not a good leader in my opinion. It's okay to criticize Mouton as well... especially when the only real attribute that I've heard anybody express is that she's "the first black female mayor." That's not exactly a ringing endorsement, and I don't even care because I don't know if West is any better. But anybody that ran out and voted for "the old white guy" is equally ignorant as the person who ran out and voted for "the black woman." The fact of the matter is that a LOT of the black community DOES believe that they are owed something. Call it reparations, 40 acres and a mule, a living wage, "rights" like a free cell phone, healthcare, housing, food, etc.. and the Dr. isn't wrong. But he is wrong in that a lot of people who AREN'T black have the same beliefs. It's not surprising to see someone who emigrated here 40 years ago and went on to become a doctor being less than impressed with people who have no interest in rising above, except by means of having their entitlements expanded. But if he can't recognize that people of all races have those same flaws, not just young black people, then the statements are indeed racist. In my opinon, for what it's worth.

Your comments are spot on, I was just relating what I felt was the Lefts end game. They knew I would be challenged unless it magically turned into a tax, which it did. During the time they were trying to passing the bill, I had a 2 hour commute each day from Spring to the Astrodome/South 610 area. Listened to a lot of talk radio which turned into reading what parts of the bill you could find on line. It was made to fail...

it probably should be June 13, not the 15th. That’s when the actual battle started with the shelling. Just as important is debatable as it was a continued steppingstone. This was unlike the invasion of Normandy where it was the beginning but certainly it was very important. I think the biggest by far accomplishment of the turkey shoot was the forward air bases and allowing to B29’s to basically level Japan. I read a book many years ago (before the Internet) I believe called, A Torch To The Enemy by Martin Caidin. It was about the B 29 bombing campaign over Japan. I cannot remember the exact statistics but basically any city that has at least a 20,000 population in the entire country, was at least 50% destroyed. Many cities were virtually leveled. While people talk about the atomic bomb and destruction, the fire bombing of Tokyo in March 1945 what is the most destructive rate in history. I am going off of memory but I think something like 140,000 people were killed in one night in about 20 square miles of the city was completely destroyed. Well over 1 million people were left homeless. Because the destruction of Japan by air before their surrender was so devastating, the Americans chose a couple of cities to be completely spared. This was for the upcoming atomic bomb raids. They wanted to see the effectiveness of the weapon but could not in most cities because they had already been leveled. That is why Hiroshima and Nagasaki were basically untouched before the atomic bombs. They were preserved as a test case because the rest of my Japan had already been leveled.

Like someone said earlier there are always two sides of the story and a lot of times the only side you’ll usually get is the one from the disgruntled side...Like someone else said it’s tough to be held accountable..especially when 6 years in you’ve won 9 of approximately 60 games that were scheduled in those seasons... He chose to resign... Coach B is a great man and I wish nothing but the best for him...And just so you know the only hire and fire the school board makes is the Superintendent...that’s it..no other position...So my question is have you talked to the Superintendent directly about your concerns? Have you talked to any of board members? I guarantee you they will listen to what you have to say...Better yet get on the agenda at the next board meeting and talk to both....You’ll get more information that way than on a message board...

I have no horn to toot I don’t work at Warren Isd. And yes there are two sides to every story. just know coaches talk to other coaches from 6A to 6man.....and the way she s handled coaches in her 1st year.....well she along with school board have just set Warren back.

We’re building a new two story intermediate school behind HS baseball field, a new intermediate school off of 565, and a new admin building that is the replica of the original high school on Eagle drive. No talk of a second high school.

I'm not sure what their community expectations are when it comes to their football program, but I've never seen a BH person that's somewhat in the know talk about potentially having a very long playoff run other than Smoking Baby on here.
