Just an observation. Did it irritate anyone else the way Texanlive filmed this game? They start off behind the offense basically at ground level. Then at the snap they may show one or two more views as the play is ran. They ended up at top. Then back to ground level. Then they would show the replay. Which is ok if they get back to the game. They did this with the replay and Bellville in the mean time scored before they came back. Then one time, right when a play was going to be ran, they switched to showing the fans. I say they need to stay up top with the wide angle to show the action.
There must not be a consistent set of rules governing how to show these games on Texanlive. Because not all are like this. Wondering if a bug could be put in ears of those that own Texanlive and make it some-what standard across the board. The way they did it at this game was frustrating to watch. @Matthew328
I believe that game used the stadium camera feed...so that's an individual stadium deal with their cameras

Well Dave Campbell picked Silsbee to meet Cuero and possibly play Carthage in the state championship I heard on gentlemen on Bally sports say Bellville doesn’t have enough to beat a pleasant grove or Carthage but that’s before pleasant grove got beat earlier.
Before the playoffs I absolutely had Silsbee winning Region III, but after the first two rounds of the playoffs I saw the writing on the wall and in my picks this week I personally picked Bellville..they are just playing too well at the moment

this is about to get ugly

That's pretty stupid...
I don't think it's a stupid rule...the rule says if you get ejected in the 2nd half you gotta sit the first half of the next game...doesn't matter if that next game is eight months away lol

Prairie View stadium should be considered about hosting playoff games.
I wonder if they over-charge?? It seems like a very nice venue

A lot of colleges aren't available to host Thanksgiving weekend because they rely heavily on students as workers and many go home for the holiday.
SMU, UMHB, A&M Commerce, Texas State, Tarleton, Abilene Christian have all hosted games thus far

You saying this surprises me.
I would take Forney by multiple scores over Richland currently.
I'm just not totally sold on Forney....

The way I see it, BH dropped more points on McKinney than Longview and Forney. WITH a fumble on the 3yd line and a pick. We also held them to 14 (I ain’t counting the last minute TD with 2nd string in). Now I don’t think ANYBODY would pick Richland over either one of those teams. BH can play with anybody in 5AD1 when they play their game. NOW, what team will show up? The Porter team or the PAM team?
I think Richland vs Forney is a pick em game

Stepp…. What is your opinion of Barbers Hill?
I've only seen one game online and I was impressed...very dynamic offense....I think the defense and lack of team speed on that side is a concern and Richland is good enough to expose it...I kinda think it'll be a high-scoring game with a slight lean to Richland just because of how DFW vs Houston the past few years mostly goes (I usually do the same thing when an Austin team plays a San Antonio team lol)....but its hard to get a read on this game because of lack of common opponents/history etc

if the key players for Silsbee are 50/50 type deals I suit em up but only play them in absolute emergency...Silsbee should IMO be able to handle Gatesville with the MASH unit they had at the end of last week's game as I dont believe Gatesville is quite as good as Sealy
-
#1 isnt a bad back, when he needs to flip the switch he can as evidenced by his perfomance against Timberview when he had to get tough yards...Richland has IMO the top interior OL prospect in the state in Daniel Cruz who is committed to TX...they'll use him in key moments at DT as well...

Forney's defense is pretty dominant early

I don't know with 100% certainty why H-J and Liberty are considering opting up, but I know what the optics of it are
It's a loophole in the UIL Realignment policies and these two would not be the first to "utilize" it. But this I think is going to cause the UIL to put some guardrails around opting up in future alignments

Still the big question….So what are they going with?
14 points
If there's a 3-way tie 1) BH 2) PAM 3) LP

I really doubt there have been any meetings among coaches prior to the final games….I’ll believe it when it comes out after the final games….never heard of 14 points being max….seems a bit low to me.
There was a DEC today....basically the max was 14 last year they changed it to 18 this off-season...whoever edited the document didnt change all the 14's to 18's...so there was discrepancy.....
I have a screen shot of the doc but it won't let me attach because its too large.....
section c says 14 pts
section e says 18 pts
was a 5-4 vote

Talked to two HCs in the district they both advised the tiebreaker is net points with an 18 point cap
Once you go points you stay points
If there's a three way tie between BH, LP and PAM
1) BH +11
2) LP -4
3) PAM -7
Port Arthur Memorial is likely going to either Forney or McKinney
So a little breaking news...there was some confusion with the coaches in the district regarding the tiebreaker...they met today and confirmed the cap is +/- 14
So if there's a 3 way tie it'll end up
1) BH +7
2) PAM -3
3) LP -4
La Porte likely headed to DFW Rd 1

I don’t know of any District that would not use the 3 way tie throughout….why should LaPorte’s win over BH have any less weight than PAM’s win over LaPorte?
