You evidently don't know someone who has died from COVID-19.  Until this weekend, that was the case for me as well.  It isn't anymore:

Magic's Jonathan Isaac stands as others kneel before the start of an NBA basketball game between the Brooklyn Nets and the Orlando Magic Friday, July 31, 2020, in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
“I believe that Black Lives Matter,” he said. “A lot went into my decision, and part of it is, I thought that kneeling or wearing the Black Lives Matter T-shirt doesn't go hand-in-hand with supporting Black lives. So I felt like, just me personally, what is that I believe is taking on a stance that, I do believe that Black lives matter, but I just felt like it was a decision that I had to make, and I didn't feel like putting that shirt on and kneeling went hand-in-hand with supporting Black lives. I believe that for myself, my life has been supported by Gospel, Jesus Christ, and everyone is made in the image of God and that we all forge through God's glory.
“Each and every one of us do things that we shouldn't do and say things that we shouldn't say. We hate and dislike things that we shouldn't hate and dislike, and sometimes it gets to a point where we point fingers, whose evil is worse, and sometimes it comes down to whose evil is most visible. So I felt like I wanted to take a stand on, we all make mistakes, but I think that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is that there's grace for us, and that Jesus came and died for our sins and that if we all come to an understanding of that and that God wants to have a relationship with us, that we can get kept all of the things in our world that our messed up,
The words of this young man should really resonate through each and everyone of us.

The outbreaks in MLB are tied to guys not following procedures. Marlins (strip club, bars) and Cardinals (casino). MLB is supposed to be trying to basically lock everyone down moving forward (good luck). The key for anything having a chance is how serious the kids take this. If they go to parties and or even just pick it up at work there's no way to get through a season. And trust me I'm want this to work.

Truer words have not been spoken, my friend.
And you guys are absolutely as capable-that's not even a question.  Don't doubt that for a second.  Anybody that argues that the black community is somehow "less" than anybody else by nature or race is a bigoted fool.  I know of older people (now gone on) that literally believed that black people didn't have souls.  Seriously.  Like dogs.  Not going to heaven.   No souls.
There are so many positive things that the black community collectively has.  I'm envious of the amount of faith that I see in your community.  The positive body image that black girls have over their white counterparts.  The list goes on and on.
There's no doubt that your community has so much potential that just needs to be focused... Face it.  Life has gotten better for each generation in my family.  My great grandparents were impoverished... they had hard lives.  My Grandparents were what would be considered typical middle-class for the 40/50/60s... they still had to work hard.  My parents' generation had it even easier... less manual labor and a solidly middle to upper middle class lifestyle.  My generation all benefited from post-high school education and jobs that really don't demand much of us physically.  Our quality of life is not bad at all.  We're so blessed.  Our kids grew up blessed.  I kind of think we're hitting the ceiling for what can be accomplished, though.  I'm kinda thinking that my kids and future generations are gonna have a harder time outdoing us based on societal changes... student debt, stagnant job market, etc.  This is the first time in probably a hundred years that it's possible that our kids won't have it as good as we did.
On the other hand, you guys have so much opportunity to better yourselves over the next few generations.  Genuine changes that create a tide that will raise all of your boats. It just won't happen if the plan to move forward is to "tear it all down."

In 2020, blacks are so IGNORANT of their own past and what was fought for on their own behalf that y’all are now advocating “separate but equal.”
    THIS^^^
It’s hard take you serious when you speak as if all black people are ignorant. STOP it. That alone is offensive.
I am offended when I am lumped in with all bad law enforcement officers. Try a different approach or quit beating around the bush and just say that you have a problem with all people of color. I have much respect for anybody that speaks how they truly feel in the front and not behind ones back. (Flip flopping) I have a better understanding of who I am dealing with when the individual is up front. No love lost or feelings hurt. I may not like you and you may not like me but at the end of the day we will respect one another.
I know all people of color are not hateful or evil. I work side by side among the finest men of valor and honor whom I would lay down my life for. I don’t care that there skin color is different than mine.
I don’t live in southeast Texas and I won’t judge it based off what I have heard from this message board. I refuse to lump all of you in one category. It’s just wrong and there no place for it.
I believe you had a bad experience growing up in PAT (sorry if I got wrong) and it must to have been rough and we may never know but your true feelings show.

I was glad to see the President wear a mask when he visited our soldiers at the Hospital. Showed much respect for the men and women.
this is not politics it is simply Gods’ will. Only he holds the key. Too much hatred, babies being killed, prayer not allowed in schools, kids taught confusing about their identity, people are worshiping idle gods and willing to die for them. We have alienated ourselves from the rest of world.  The USA is saying and doing things that are an abomination according to the word.
Be ye not of the world. Be not partakers but be fishermen of men. Draw all men unto the Farther.

I think responsible folks are taking this very seriously and taking precautions without having to look to the "experts" that seem to change policy every day.
I am especially mindful of staying away from folks that are older or may have a condition that would cause the virus to be very serious if contracted.
As far as the knuckeheads that want to throw a fit because they don't like the rules an establishment has...stay out.

Unless you work or have worked on the front lines fighting the virus, you would not be thinking or talking foolishness about being politically played. Mr. Regan, take a trip to the ER in Houston or come take a family vacation here in Myrtle Beach. You will not realize how serious it is until Lord forbids, it lands at your front door. I take this personal because I have lost two friends and my grandmother who is in Charlotte, NC. has Covid-19. Death rates aren’t falling. 1 life lost is too many. When has any loss of life become except able.
