  1. All I know is the guy from Rice better at least let the kids look at a ball......They havnt seen one since the season ended! WoWWWWW! But, I'm sure those weights are helping those jumpshots Those halfcourt shots count as 4 pters in the ABA dont they?
  2. how did tubbs finish in the conference? how many of those 18 and 17 wins where d1 or d2? I dont know, so i am just asking. Even though i am not a tubbs fan
  3. Cross Country helps the cross country runner...Shape, alot of basketball gets you in basketball shape! the question is,simple, where is the best program in the area to help a kid reach his potential? UOS, dinosaurs!!!!!!!!!!!! Fast twitch, skill development, competition, outside opprotunities, etc. if you've played it, you know how to get there..........it's called a gym friend, spend some quality time in there and see what happens!!!!! Crazy huh.
  4. No resources, you want me to inform you how C.K. was signed
  5. Tubbs picked the last two and failed miserably. The one before Roc was even worse
  6. Acie Law and Donald Sloan and Josh Carter could flat out play...BCG got these bfore Turgeon arrived. They could flat out play...........inside the gymmmmmmmm
  7. Wow, is this really a thread. Are we talking about the ............lol..........Poll? I'm sure there are some experts on that there poll.Same guy voting day after day!!!Can't think of anything else to say, except go longhorns.
  8. BCG can flat out rebuild a program.........I know, I know about issues, hopefully hes dealt w those..Just sayin, you want to see a contender in a few years from Tech, you got it! The guy will get it done, there is no doubt!
  9. Stretttccchhhh...............i just woke up, are we talking about the mighty longhorns......still? Why? Does'nt matter if they have a few good players or not! There will be no development, no skills worked on, no chemistry aroused............Univ. Off Season...in 4 yrs you guys will be saying" if it wasn't for that there ole UOSeason we woulve taken third in that darned ole 3a district...We then will be talking about how good those kids were in middle school. Kinda like when those daddies talk about their little joey and how good he was in pee wee-league all-stars! those young kids are'nt good enough right now. Sorry but their not. Yearly progress has to be made for kids to really develop.I know, i know, AAu summa time hoopin. Where all that sophisticated offense and team defense is taught, right along w that finger pointing and look at me and my new sneakers. Ona more serious note, I hope H.F. gets a solid BASKETBALL COACH and HE, gets a chance to build a program on his own terms. Love to see kids that have a passion for the game get an opprotunity to reach their full potential. It's a great thing to witness! Good Luck!
  10. Wildcatter, sounds like a Kentucky boy, agreeeedddd. I remember one time our coach took us to the weight room. We stayed approximately 15 min. Players said, " coach lets go to the gym so we can get better," rest is history, we were pretty good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Weights are for body builders and the gym, well it's March Madness aint it!!!!!!!!
  11. Sorry Dove, people on here have been trying to tell you and I guess you have not been listening. It's not the coach! Don't care whos on the list, you want even get the best on the list, once they here the words.universallllllllllllllllllllllllll off-seasonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn. You don't and can't understand it though, unless you have dealt w it before. Progress comes to a screetching halt. You can talk AAU til the cows come home! There is no teaching in the AAU circuit, just playingggggggggggggggggggggggg, and some smooozing for a kid or 2. Cant wait to hear this rebuttle!!!!!!!
  12. I say if the nay sayers dont win it, The Hampshire Fannett Longhorns win it! Wowwwwwwwwwwwwww, lets start a thread about the Hampshire team, those guys nearly got in the playoffs! Wait , they didnt get in the 3a playoffs?
  13. Hey Uh Red Sox Nation what were all those Names and numbers for on you earlier post! If it were stats, well nevermind those,,,,,,,,,,,just tell me who won the game???
  14. Are we talking about the H-Fannett basketball team? Why??? I think some have already pointed out what happens in a situation like theirs. It's inevitable!
  15. Problem is being at a small school and staying there..........May go through years wout being noticed, and if he gets noticed, scouts may look at comp he was facing and lose interest, the better the program, the better the competition the better the results all around. Get in a good PROGRAM and reach ones potential. Hate to see kids that get really good out of h.s. and it happens all the time!!!!!!! It's too late to matter, adult leagues are full of what could have beens...........
  16. Seen them both play a few times..Even though they play diff positions, the ned player has looked better. Really understands the game. Plays hard and with emotion...Huge upside. Bosha has a very good skill set, but more reserve and passive. But, just a freshmen and that will improve w time.
  17. Nederland vs Central (Boys) has been moved to Saturday- Fresh  4:30, JV 6:00, Varsity 7:30  (at Nederland)
  18. actually he is rt. With png being two games up, all they have to do is win and they are in. (so he is rt) And really when it comes down to it, if they beat lcm and vidor and lose the rest they will be in.
  19. Sorry, sleepy, wake up..best fresh in 3a in state..Maybe...but thats not what was said...Now thats a fact, not an opinion!!!!!!!!
  20. Seen him play, not best 10-15 in the state. Not strong enough, can't put it on floor good enough, does not defend 1on1 well enough. Has potential to be very good! Alot of good kids in the state..Top 50???????? Who knows, good for our area, yes! We've got to get out more. H.J. likes him.
  21. soulja there was a foul to give, png only had 5 fouls at the time
  22. Actually, I would say coaches need to stay in shape, physically, have good character and set good examples for the kids they are coaching. Kids model people they respect. In this time in their lives , they are easily influenced in one way or another, and coaches are people they are in touch with on a daily basis! Like it or not some kids don't get what they need at home, and coaches easily become role models.
  23. you mean the png coaches coached from the baseline?
