Bluedove, just have your sons win a district game. Blue which would u prefer to look good and lose, or look bad and win. I have a feeling we all know what u would choose.

I hope officials from both chapters see this. This is the situation. Not so long ago, we had one chapter. The chapter did not do a good job of filling games( the right way) or getting the officials to games on time. Officials and coaches got tired of it. A few members branched off to form an organization. The new organization is doing a tremendous job.........FOR THE KIDS! No problems. Only concern is that there are good officials in the other chapter sitting at home, or not getting quality games. If some of these officials would join the new organization, our basketball games in the area would AGAIN have quality officiating at all games. It is what it is! Until some of these officials realize nothing is going to change, then guess what? The situation that we've had the last two years, IS NOT GOING TO CHANGE!!! Push the egos and hard feelings aside and do it for the game , the fans, the coaches, and most importantly, THE KIDS! See you in November, regardless of the decisions made! Basketball season is gonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnna happen!

Sterling has paid his dues for five years and is ready for the job. No doubt the kids got a quality coach. Mathews made a good call on this one. This is the way it is supposed to work, asst for a while, do a good job, get a shot in the first chair!

Why would a schoold district hire someone not certified? There are coaches all over the state that can coach and have been in the public education system. Does not make sense! There are rules that coaches follow in the U.I.L. handbook as compared to the AAU gu-roos who have no rules at all. There are some morals and ethics along the way that have to be upheld. I can't wait to hear this.

If I had to bet, this so called player does not attend one of the higher quality schools. I wont go into detail but I would bet if he plays basketball at his high school, there most likely to have numerous problems there as well! Discipline , class, character aren't on the high priority list. This is pitiful, official missed a charge call most likely and kid didn't like it! AAU coach most likely runnin out with him cursing the official.

Silsbee and Lumberton have 1st rd byes, and yes Dove Kelly was killin the 3s at the church gym in Nederland last year while whipping up on the Ned frosh group! Looking forward to seeing HJ, Nederland, and Silsbee teams as they try to find chemistry with new kids. PA 16s will be good as well!

Kelly did manhandle Ned..but it was Kelly varsity taking out the Ned. frosh group.Niceeee. Actually I think Ned and Kelly are matched up in this tourney,I will check and see. Love to see it!

Surely the doves are good enough that the parents can sit back and let the coaches make the decisions, while the talent speaks for itself. You learn that as a parent in the AAU meetings dont you? Again, with all this talk, where are these kids playing? The land of UOS, say it aint so. Maybe some of that summa team out of H-Town can move in and overcome................reality!
