  1. I would say that is equally as distasteful as what we've been discussing here.
  2. You're right warden. I shouldn't have popped the top on ol Walt, but that HF thing really rubbed me the wrong way. Kinnebrew is a good coach and to be discredited as strictly a "football guy" who was hired because he had connections, by another finalist for the job was bush league. Yates should have been happy to even be considered based on what I know about his past in txhsbb. Either way, I'm off of it.
  3. Ok, I really don't know why this is bothering me so much, but it is what it is I guess. I don't have time this evening, but I'll be back tomorrow and I will post my case for why you are "Walt", along with receipts that IMO prove my point. Once that has been done, I'll be done with this and will take my happy behind back to the football board where I belong.
  4. I've never said you couldn't coach. I never even said you shouldn't post. I've known you were you since the first time I saw JayBilas post after the death of DickieV (RIP). The only thing I've taken exception to is you disparaging the HF hire in public forum after you didn't get the job. Literally one of the most classless things I've ever seen, and you cloaked it in your "defense" of the other candidates. That's my issue with you.
  5. Bingo.....and it worked! lol
  6. To see who would bite.
  7. Can't make this list without adding Walter Yates Jr.
  8. Here we go with this narrative again.
  9. So Collins didn't finish the season?
  10. I have trouble believing Randy Snell did anyone dirty. Who is the new coach in Hardin?
  11. How do you not know Brent Anderson? Guy was a wizard on the court in the late 90s early 2000s. Are you familiar with the name Reescano? There is talent in Hardin, sure as hell more talent than there is in WH. Surely Collins didn't burn a bridge in Hardin, his hometown, to go to WH and lose in the first round of the playoffs every year.
  12. This is my question, especially since Collins is from Hardin and seemingly took the job at "home" to settle in for the long haul. Hardin obviously wasn't too keen on keeping him since they stepped aside and let him walk away. If it was a money issue, I'd assume Hardin would be able to match or best whatever WH was offering. Something smells fishy here.
  13. When someone reaches for the race card, you know they have run out of intelligent arguments to make supporting their point.
  14. Where did I call you a racist? If you want to make that accusation, you better dang well have something to back it up.
  15. Does this statement also apply to all schools or just to minority schools? Are we proposing different rules for different districts? Seems like a slippery slope.
  16. Pay won’t change because of assistants? What do you mean by that? Barrier is certainly in line for a pay raise if he’s interested in the HD job. Also, don’t discount the relationship between Barrier and Bird. This might be a situation where they’re interested in working together. I lean “no”, but its possible. Considering this same scenario was attempted when Hodges was hired, Bird may not be interested.
  17. Family reasons may play into it, but Hodges leaving is clearly tied to the drama that ended with the HD principal leaving for Liberty. I’m curious if Ned Barrier might be interested in this one. His wife was just hired as the principal at HD elem and he has a lot of history in the community. He would be a slam dunk hire and since he’s not the AD at Hardin, it should come with a healthy pay bump. Not to mention, have you seen his soon to be 8th grade son? That boy is going to be special. He’d look good in red and black. The community of HD needs this right now. It’s fractured. The barrier family could begin to repair the damage done recently and being new life to the high school. I like Bird just fine, but if HD had a shot at Barrier, a proven HC (see Brazos), then they have to take it.
  18. There it is. I always knew Warrens issues in Football were tied to the age and energy of their head coaches. That's why I was against the hire of the low energy, old man Kevin Barbay several years ago. I am glad to see they are trying a new model in their hiring processes.
  19. Seems like Mr. Dodge may have used BH in the same way Saban uses Texas every couple of years. Probably secured a bit of a raise out of the whole ordeal.
  20. Now that would be something to see.
  21. I got a name for you who loves Tarkington and wants to be there for the long run.....Stan Howard.
  22. Whoa. Good luck to him, but this seems like an uphill battle.
  23. Either way, it's pretty wild that you are here commenting on the job you were a finalist for, acting like you were not one of the finalists and purporting to have sources on the inside who were informing you of the process. "Sources say the finalists were on campus today for interviews...."....... It's a bad look brother.
