Time for basketball boys. Nobody expected you to make it to the 3rd round this year. Y`all overachieved way beyond what was expected; so with that being the case, it was a great year overall.

The o-line did a well enough job of not letting Sanders for Bellville go nuts on us. I do think they have improved. I'm mostly concerned about our pass defense. If anything gets us beat Friday, that will be it.

Well I hope when/if Walker plays for Silsbee this year, he can put some serious beef under them boards for some rebounds. I'm not sure if Rice has had enough time to get back into top shape for b-ball after being injured or not.

We're now the last team standing from our district after tonight. I don't think anybody could have predicted that.

It looks like WO-S is going to lose, so we won't get a playoff game close to home unfortunately.

I know it's pointless, but part of me wants to scream "WHERE WAS THIS DEFENSE LAST YEAR"! Oh well 🤷‍♀️ I've no idea what's gotten into the Tigers tonight and I mean that in a good way.

Well it looks like basketball will have to wait a little longer.

It might be a good idea for the Tigers to stay away from #99's side. Nothing good is going to come from that.

It looks like Bellville is trying to lose. A Tiger touchdown here and I'd start to worry if I were them.

That went from a terrible pass to a great pass lol.

Did Bellville lose a lot of their o-line to graduation? They walked all over us last year from the moment the game started.

Sometimes it's just one of them days. I don't think we've ever lost this bad to Lufkin. We'll see how much the Tigers can improve when they play in some of the local tournaments in December.

Besides Johnson, Cartwright will be a big one. He's capable of 20 points a game if he can keep it together. Others include Gains, Walker, and another Jones. There may be one or two more, but I'm not 100 percent sure if they're going to play basketball or not.

It's typical early season Tiger basketball. It'd be really easy for Silsbee to go around clubbing baby seals the first few weeks of the season, but that's not how Coach Sigler does things. Starting the year off with 3 state ranked 5A teams was always going to be tough. It looks like #20 for Silsbee had a pretty big growth spurt. Hopefully he can develop into a solid player and we can use him when Rice and Boulwen aren't on the floor.

This game reminded me of the first game against West Brook last year. WAY too sloppy and too many turnovers. Our little shooting guards gave us a chance in the first half. We'll be fine by the time district gets here, so I'm not really worried.

We had two really good 3-point shooters playing in the 2nd quarter that gave us that halftime lead. Maybe we should go back to that.

Arline has played really well for Silsbee tonight.

I don't think any Silsbee people on here are picking Silsbee to win.

I'd like to be a homer and say Silsbee, but lets be real here. We'll see just how good the Tiger offensive line is in this one. Bellville - 42 Tigers - 21 I don't think it will be as bad as last year.

Silsbee had a bad second quarter. I'm not sure if they can overcome that or not. Either way, I wouldn't put too much stock in any of these early season games for anybody.
