Somewhere early in the 4th the Tigers woke up and realized a basketball game was being played. They're playing a dangerous game in thinking they can just turn it on whenever they need to and win.

Silsbee won 75 - 56.

Unmotivated ball for most of this one is the problem. They'd lose to Kountze playing this way.

Boys were out there sleepwalking through most the first half. Shouldn't even need Harris to beat LCM.

I'd personally skip the freshman game unless you're a hardcore Tiger fan. It ain't pretty this year.

You'll enjoy watching Austin Brown play for Lufkin, especially if he plays like he did against Silsbee. 6`8 point guards don't grow on trees

As long as Silsbee doesn't pull a Dallas Cowboys on us, they've got a decent chance. Full roster should be ready to go soon. I suppose beating up on all these cream puffs in district might be a little concerning, but that's not in our control. Maybe somebody will put up a fight.

Much like last season, Silsbee JV is really good again. Not sure the Mustangs that showed up for this one could beat them. I would expect round 2 to be a closer ballgame, I think. Stangs will probably give it a better effort. They really don't have any size though and are worse at getting rebounds than the Tigers are. Biggest difference I'm noticing with Silsbee as of late is much better ball movement and shooting. Hope they keep it up.

Silsbee shoots the ball like they did against Jasper, this will be a blowout. They have an off night it might be interesting for a bit.

He also just became second all time in points scored for Silsbee. Won't be catching Bush though for the top spot. Crazy how Bush couldn't get nominated. Congrats though to Harris.

Stats from the game: Lamarcus Bottley: 37pts, 4 steals, 3 assists. He had 11 3’s in this game which is the 2nd all time record. - Jared Harris: 16pts, 8 assists, 8 rebounds, 5 steals. - Payton Jones: 14pts, 1 assist, 1 steal - Dre’lon Miller: 8 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals - Troy Rice: 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals Miller is apparently a bench player for now, too. Probably won't last more than a game or two.

Number 12 is the big tight end for Jasper. He didn't have an offensive game last year, but was jacking up 3's tonight. Can't really get any read on Silsbee in a game like this. They do look like they're moving the ball around and playing better as a team compared to a few week ago.

This ain't gonna be any kind of ball game. Silsbee - 41 Jasper - 10 End of the 1st. Just gonna update the final score if nobody else is going to give regular ones. Just assume the Tigers are winning by a bunch till then.

This had to have been expected. Only so much we can do with what we had out there playing. Payton needs to shoot the ball more. Got a few good wins though.

Think they're playing Peabody next. They're probably done winning ballgames though.

They sure do like their low scoring games over that way, it seems.
