It's just the type of game Silsbee needed right before the playoffs. I get match ups are a thing, but how Vidor loses to a team like WO-S is beyond me.

These games have been so dull and boring. I think the dunk count was 5 - 0.

I never want to hear anyone complain about Silsbee getting outside players again if we lose another kid.

Silsbee has a big kid on JV that can hopefully replace Rice next year. We just need him to be ready for varsity play by next season.

Was this Kountze chest thumping going on during the Harris/Miller years, or is this a one year thing? One thing Silsbee is doing a much, much better job at right now is defense. Teams were scoring way too many points on us early in season. I think this year would have been a really good ball game, but it ain't gonna happen. If Kountze doesn't like hypotheticals, I'm sure it could be set up to where we play each other every year going forward. If it makes them feel any better, there's probably going to be some serious question marks on how good the Tigers might be next year.

If it's just for one game and not the season, that's not so bad. I'd assume WB will either have to play the next game with their JV kids or forfeit. An entire season is way too extreme, imo.

That would be terrible for West Brook. I don't know what happened, but whoever was directly responsible for the fight should be punished. Don't ruin the season for all the other kids.

Jones hit 2 threes overall, I think. Johnson hit 1. Taking Arline out of the starting lineup kinda lessens the 3 point threat. The way this game was being called, taking it to the basket and trying to draw fouls was the better strategy anyways. Dunk count was 1 - 0 Silsbee.

I remember when Silsbee, Livingston, and Cleveland had some good wars in district. It'd be nice if the Tigers were pushed a little more. These past few games have been pretty sad. It's hard to get a good read on how much they've improved when the games are over at halftime. We'll see how the second Bridge City game goes.

Silsbee shot 50% from the 3 point line in this game. That's now three or four games in a row where they've shot the ball extremely well. If they can keep this up, they'll be hard to beat.

Jasper was at least respectable the first year they joined the district with Silsbee. They had a lot of size and athleticism that season. It's been all downhill since then. I don't know what their issue is outside of the players and community not caring about basketball. Maybe they're just football focused?

103 - 52 was the final. Silsbee starters only played about 5 minutes in the second half. Dunk count was 2 - 0 in favor of the Tigers. Payton got dunk number 2 ( that I'm aware of) in his career. He's still got a ways to go to catch Harris in that department.

87 - 30 after 3. Silsbee starters came out after about 5 minutes in the 3rd. They might be done for the night.

Silsbee plays teams like West Brook and United (sometimes more than once) early in the year, every year, knowing they're going to lose way more often than not. We don't just decided to call them up for a game when we've got a good team. If Kountze wants to play, then lets make it a yearly ordeal. It could be a fun event. I'm not sure what the Lions have coming up in the lower ranks, so this may or may not be a good match up past this season.

Silsbee has shot the ball really well the past two games. They went 40% from the 3 point line against Vidor and 37% against Lumberton. If they get knocked out of the playoffs, it'll be because they tossed up a bunch of bricks.

That may have been Payton's first dunk in a game.

Vidor played well for about the first 5 minutes of the 3rd quarter. If they could do that for an entire game, they'd be alright. They did manage to beat La Marque twice according to their schedule. Silsbee used more of their roster tonight, which made it easier for them to press and play defense the way they wanted to. It was hard to do that early in the season when they were only using 6 or 7 players. Hopefully they can keep it up.

Silsbee has played good defense so far tonight. Vidor isn't handling it well at all. Dunk count 1 - 0 Tigers.

I watched the second half of this one. I don't know if #30 for Kountze is that good, or if East Chambers is that bad on the inside. He was doing whatever he wanted. They had better. They lose a ton of kids to graduation this year. I don't know what they look like at the lower levels.
