1.
Too funny...Nederland can't beat a team PNG beat by 31. Wow!
C'mon dude, lets show a little more class. I would have bet a bundle of money on Nederland in this one , and still would if they played Crosby again next week. Nederland overcame some bad breaks early as far as injuries just as the last few years and still ended up in the playoffs. Congrats on a good season , and I still have to accept the fact you have the bragging rights for Mid County for the rest of the year.
 2.

PN-G wins easily ;)
Just like last year ;)
Yeah, if BH would have scored two more TD's and a field goal they would have won.
 3.
Vidor....  Some people had them going winless this year.  Instead, they almost made the playoffs.
I have to agree , I was one who had written them off. I thought their best chance was last year with the team full of seniors. I was wrong, they put a good team on the field. I was glad to see it. I have always liked Matthews , he is a class dude.
 4. The experience Carson Raines got while Dionte was out will really help Nederland if Dionte is out. The kid was really starting to look good. I honestly believe Nederland will pull away in this one , there defense has really improved over the season and this team may be jelling at the right time. Good luck dogs, take it to them good!
Trust me Soulja, that's all that were focused on right now.  Besides, it wasn't a Brenham or Dayton fan that started this thread.  You can give the blame to a Livingston fan who is probably looking for any advantage possible against Dayton. :D
Pretty obvious isn't it.
 6.
So glad Carson got plenty of action early in the season. Those games he started early in the year are going to do wonders for him Friday and throughout the playoffs if has to play.
Carson was looking good before Dionte came back.Crosby was the worst team we played all year, easily. This game could get ugly, Nederland by a bunch.
 7.

Yea no kidding not only are folks from Livingston no match for mighty Bronco's we can't spell either..... Couple thing to consider though: Total offense Dayton- 3052 yards Livingston- 3790 yards First downs Dayton-145 Livingston-188
Replace Jasper, Huntsville, and Houston BTW with FB Elkins, Angleton and Aldine Eisenhower and you've got the other piece of that equation. ;)
And add in the fact that Dayton's defense allowed less than seven points per game and scored an average of 50 on offense.
Even though I feel 204A is better than 194A top to bottom, I honestly feel it was a very weak defensive year for 204A. As far as looking at the yardage Livingston put up you have to consider that none of the teams in our district(except Central) was very impressive on defense. 194A probably was better on defense. Just my opinion.
 8.

Absent say's it all-Who's been the last 4a SETX team still playing year after year.Pump up those roundballs week after next  ::) ;) ;D
Recently it has been my Jags and Dayton, going about the same distance less the one State trip by Dayton!
Very true. Both have definitely had the most consistent programs in the area (194A and 204A). Good luck to both unless of course we get Dayton in the first round.
 9. Flip a coin, should be a good one. I give Nederland an edge in experience dealing with these type of games. I have watched them pull out games like this for years when they were in a back against the wall situation. Neumann thrives on these type situations and knows how to win. It will be by less than a touchdown either way.
 10.
I feel Dayton isn't as good as they were last year. Brenham is BETTER this year then they were last year. I just feel like you can't score on are Brick wall defense and we can score on yours. ??? ??? ;D
Brenham is good and expect them to be there. But I would never count Dayton out. They are there year in and out and should never be discounted.
 11. I'm very proud of the coaches and players. Our defense is still not the type of defense we had last year or the type defense we were used to in past , but they have improved greatly. We have made changes in our defense weekly since the Nederland game and at this point 5-4 and being assured a playoff spot is a good accomplishment for our players. A month ago things did not look good at all, and the players and coaches have continued to work hard. They are getting better weekly and maybe will peak at the right time. With our offense, if the defense can make some stands who knows.
 12.
PNG is -9 and done Ned is +2 with LCM to play LCM is +2 with Ned to play Liv is +4 and done. If this 4 way tie occurs next Friday, you are right, PNG is highly unlikely to make the playoffs.  PNG needs to win to get in.
You are correct, a four way tie is not favorable for us. We can lose and get in if LCM beats Nederland. With that being said , Nederland beating LCM seems a better bet than PNG beating Central. Just being realistic , but then again I didn't think we were going to beat LCM. Who knows?? Not giving up on them yet I just think Central is the only team in the district that truly stands out above the rest.

First , with the exception of Central I don't think anyone in our district can bost much about their defense. In fact I 'm not sure anyones is better than ours. With that being said could it be the strength of the offenses in instead of the lack of defense???? Face it we were able to hold a good Gregory Portland team (that will make some noise in the playoffs) better than we did some in our district. Crosby (who is from a weak 19 4A with the exception of Dayton) could do nothing against us. Well just thinking, what's ya'lls opinion?
Crosby (who is from a weak 19 4A with the exception of Dayton) could do nothing against us. <--thinks that should get statement of the year award  ;D
Dayton is good period , wouldn't matter which district they are in. The rest of that district is not that good this year. Maybe Crosby has greatly improved since I saw them play early. But , what I saw was way weaker than normal.
 14.
Vidor could have won this!
Yeah , and the Rangers should be up two games to none against the Giants.

Don't worry it won't get any better.
PNG will not even make the playoffs so your BH dream is not going to happen. 1. Central 2. LCM 3. LIV 4. LUM
I just read back all 11 pages and can't find anywhere that I mentioned a "BH dream" . Not to offend anyone , but I don't see Lumberton getting in with Nederland and Central remaining on their schedule. Only guarantee I would make is that I would not bet on anyone on any week for the rest of the season except Central.
nah.... Maybe 3rd behind Dayton and Crosby.
nah.... Ozen played us closer than Crosby has the last two years in a row.
 19.
LCM better blow out PNG if they want to win, because I have seen some strange things happen with the refs in Mid- county!!! ;D :D ;) Can I get an Amen!!!
Wow you must not remember the WORST officiating I have ever seen when LCM came to PNG last year. Yes he was from Orange County , even threw one flag against PNG and showed excitement. I hope they never let this guy back in Port Neches, it was terrible. Everybody gets bad calls from time to time , it happens. I have umpired baseball in the past and believe me you know when you blow it but some things are beyond blowing it. As in everything some people are better than others , I guess officiating is no different. Slam14 - as a PNG fan I say we are the underdog this year.I feel we have the best offense in district this year but might be last in defense. LCM has a good team and should be recognized as such. I am not making any predictions on this one , just staying hopeful.

I don't have daughters so , I may not understand. But I work with someone who does have girls playing therefore I follow sometimes. I just come over from the football forum just to keep up. I got to be honest it is entertaining at times. Some of you need to get a life. Notice I said some not all. I have noticed one group that gets on here immediately after a tournament and mention how well they did or how high they finished even if another local team finished higher with no mention. There is another group that wants to be the premier organization , one that can compete with some of the better Houston orgs. But in reality I have only seen one group really do that(and i'm talking lately). That team was made up of mostly girls from one town ( yes, it pains me to say my arch rival  ;)). I even remember posts saying it couldn't be done with girls just from one town. Believe me I couldn't pull for them but it was fun watching them prove everyone wrong. Well anyway , thanks for the entertaing reading. I work days and don't get to see any soap operas. ;) :) It is nice to hear of the increase in girls getting scholarships though , so those of you who volunteer your time should be proud and commended.
Well if you are referring to my post, yeah, I’m guilty and sorry to offend you, and I will continue to post as we go along.  ::) Personally I see nothing wrong in posting the scores, usually when we  complete a tournament we have numerous people texting me asking how we done.  With the use of this forum I have found it much easier to post what we have done other than texting everyone and also saving my minutes.   I tell you what, if it makes you happier, I will remove the Orange Crush and just post S.O.T.  ::) I surely wished all local teams, posted what they did as they were playing, I for one would like to know.  If I knew the other scores I would surely post them, but I don’t. Oh, to get on her and say that the softball forum is comical.  Apparently you have not been on your football forum lately, WOW…now that is a soap opera.
I honestly can't argue about the football forum , pretty entertaining also. Addictive just like soap operas. :)

 23.
dude, this is hardly the same Nederland team that suited out against BH...I counted no less than 6 starters on the sidelines in shorts for the BH game, most of which were playing against PNG
Very true, especially the presence of Sonnier was a big difference.
